    LOVE mining but it gets old after a while. LOVE exploration - but there really has to be more things to find than the same old boring villages. I even used Millenaire and got bored with it, used better dungeons, got bored with it. I guess I get bored easy, haha. My favorite mods are those which add total new content to the game that takes a while to learn but isn't ridiculous like EE or Thaumcraft, etc. ;) Give me hundreds of different homes, castles, dungeons, and other things to explore which won't repeat the same dozen or so. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the work the modders do, but one can only play the same stuff for so long.

    Still, exploration and mining are my faves. and playing with my buddy Dan.

    Okay, so it seems like it may be an Optifine issue then. I also use Ultra. I'm not sure how many other Opti users are having this issue but if there is the two of us, there's a chance there's another good amount suffering this as well.

    I really can't play well without Opti; I get literally 3 to 7 fps but with Opti I get well over 110 fps. What a tough choice to have to make. Mobs (and I get plenty of good mobs; overkill really. It's the evil mobs that do NOT show. If I DO get a few by restarting, the moment I go down too far or even to a new biome, they're all gone. Just the evil mobs, which is odd. And unfair xD)

    Hopefully more folk will chime in with their issues/opinions and more light can be shed on this annoying issue. :)

    I'm in 1.4.5 now.

    I had stopped my game to write this, put it back on, there were enemies on medium, I slept over night and bam, no more enemies period from that point on. Even reinstalling a clean fresh jar gives the same issues. :(

    I'm really stumped.

    I've noticed this 'glitch' now and then and wondered if anyone else had/has the same/similar issues.

    I DO use a few mods religiously:

    Rei's minimap (current version)
    Optifine (curent version: I always use the first one offered on the page here)
    Forge/Forgemodloader (version 4.5.14.455 for Minecraft 1.4.5)
    Inventory Tweaks (current)
    Backpack (current)
    Not enough items (current)

    ^ those are the first ones I always put on. Right now I'm using 1.4.5 mc.

    I had Mo minecraft on (just a weapons/spells kind of mod) and noticed the enemies were not spawning, even when cycling through peaceful-hard. Now this was not the first time I've noticed the glitch, but I also haven't noticed it in a while too; to the point I'd forgotten about it until just now. So I took it (Mo Minecraft) off and had the same issues, ruling out that mod. So I decided to put the Divine RPG mod on now that I know how to use it. Long story short, my MC was set to hard when I started it. TONS of red dotted enemies appeared all over the minimap. YAY, I thought and turned my game back to medium. Instantly the enemies vanished and now it's again seeming to be on permanent peaceful.

    :(

    has anyone noticed any issues like this as of late? I want to say it started for me way back in.... gosh.... 1.2.5 to possibly 1.3 ish? Back then aside from my 'always install instantly' mods listed above in the list, I was also using a horrendous amount of mods. Figured it was one of them. but as I don't have those on now, it's making me wonder if it's indeed one of my 'core' mods I always use. Doesn't really make sense though how any from Rei's there to NEI would /do/ something like this. Perma peaceful even when on hard mode makes minecraft quite dull. Ah, this is in single player for me. :/ When I play via hamachi with my friend (him being my guest), all mobs spawn perfectly though of course most mods won't work in a server. We have optifine, Rei's and NEI in the hamachi server and that's it.

    So I'm now curious if it's backpacks or inventory tweaks doing this but again, that makes zero sense to me. I can see if those mods nerfed the mobs enough to where it could ultimately DO this but.... neither of those mods don't. I'm stumped, so I'm throwing this one out to you fine folk in MCF land. <3

    I swear, I have great ideas for texture packs but seeing as I"ve never done one in my life, I'd do my darned best - and only to see this kind of hate going on? Makes me NEVER want to even try. My god people. Seriously. How cruel. Kid is no doubt proud of his accomplishment - and it's about as good as I could do too - and I'd sure be darned proud of my work knowing IT WORKS, and I'd no doubt call mine 'One awesome texture pack of textures." And I'd mean it because it'd be awesome in my eyes cuz it worked and changed the look of minecraft - which is what texture packs are to do.

    You folk are WAY too serious at times. smh.

    Someone had posted one of those in game codes like /mob blah blah

    That stops creepers from destroying land but can still harm the players.

    I'm playing a server with a pal in hamachi and wanted to know the 'code' to do this xD

    i Know this is vague but hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about. i'ts not a plug in, nor a mod. Just a simple code one can input by pressing /

    I'll tell you what, the mods and I are getting tired of deleting your trolling, bashing and hateful posts.

    KEEP IT CIVIL, DISCUSS LIKE ADULTS, There is ZERO need for name calling, hating, or being hurtful and rude, all right? EVERYONE here is waiting for the mod to come out and know what? The more hate Eloraam sees, the bigger chance they will say 'forget this, I'm done." SO why not give Eloraam a reason to keep working on this; give them adult, responsible replies to return to.

    Meanwhile, us mods will keep cleaning this out to make it look nice for Eloraam's return.

    I don't wish to have to return here to type more, unless it's to thank Eloraam for posting the latest version - as you all should also.

    XD You sure want to know, huh?

    /I/ think this map is freakin' amazing and to me it's the best adventure map out there so far. I'm having too much fun with it. And given the feed back here so far (and who knows what other sites he has it on as well), it's safe to say the majority think it's win too.

    If I made a map and everyone who played completely loved it, I'd say mine was the most beloved map for minecraft, definitely.

    I just started. I mean just started. Oh my GOD so many enemies around and in the first town even during day time. I'm holed up in a tiny village house right now with about 11 creepers, 8 spiders and a few zombies just waiting for me to leave. :/

    I have it on easy too. xD This is going to be mighty interesting indeed. I kind of both like and dislike how you have nothing dying during day time. :D

    You sneaky map maker, you.

    Hm. I'm on 1.4.5 and I start the game, hit easy mode, hit 'fight' button, got to the start hall - and there is no where to go. I'm enclosed. Can't break anything to 'move on', and nothing is going on. :/

    This saddens me. I was all set up for a huge fight and nothing. I see something that looks like a clay block ahead of me but again, can't break it to move on IF that's what I'm to do. I'm stuck in a wooden hallway.



    Wanted to update :) I restarted and got a zombie and figured out what to do. You 'may' want to write a hint as to what to do since it took me a moment to figure it out. I think what killed my first go was that I tried to change to non peaceful upon entering the game and that may have messed it up. I'd suggest advising people to go to a different save, change to non peaceful and THEN enter your map. I'm sure my changing from peaceful to easy while starting the game here messed it up. ^_^

    Off to play now. Yay!

    Okies, after playing, this map has SO much potential! The only thing I was nitpicky about was that when you 'save' and go back to the shop, you have to start from the 'beginning' again so to speak; reenter the dungeon. Depends how big you make this, that could get a little annoying if someone was super far in. I'm not skilled at the mechanics of redstone, etc so I'm not sure if there is a way to make it so when you 'push the button' in the starting hut you can go back to where you came from. That would be the one thing which would rock.

    Other than that, I love the whole map how you go from place to place via buttons etc. The enemies are hard enough to make it a challenge even on easy; I'd not do too well on hard, that's for sure. Keep it up; definitely going to sub to this thread so I can play the final map. :D

    I have the same problem with the first poster. 1.4.5 minecraft. I had to hold 'forward' with the boat and even then it went down step by step very slow :(

    For some reason, I don't think water rides will really work the way we'd love them to. You'd have to just do tracks and water I don't think will work with tracks. A cute idea though, definitely.

    Just curious if you'll ever update this so it will work with Forge for 1.4.5, the forge version is 6.4.0.395 just updated on the 21st of November

    The one you currently have it updated to is for minecraft 1.4.5 too but a slightly older forge version. I think he updates it like once a week.

    HOW you keep up with that beats me <3 but kudos to you for that. What would you suggest I do? Do the Forge earlier 1.4.5 version then? If so, I'd assume most modders keep to the initial Forge version and don't update as much as Mr. Forgeman does?

    oh god, I just saw, he did these 3 updates in 3 back to back days. Really???????? Yeah, there is NO way you all can keep up with that kinda thing.

    What's the best road to take then? This guy is spitting out new forges every day it seems like; so what do you modders do? First main update he does for the newest mc version?
