That really looks great for a first build! Well done and far better than anything I could ever hope to make, lol. I do the average square wood house with flat roof. >-< But yeah, this is spot on.
ah seems like how mods have always been installed. I wonder where I heard that mojang redid everything and made it TONS harder to install mods? I'm a modding pro lol so that was throwing me for a curve. Thanks a ton, guys. or gals. or both. <3
Reason I ask is because I have stayed on 1.5.2 because I heard to mod was extremely difficult with the new launcher and so on and how files were now set up. I took a LONG break from here, waiting for now to see if maybe someone had a tutorial somewhere on here on how to mod the new set up.
Any links would be totally appreciated beyond words. Once I get used to modding again and how to set it all up, I just may return to be a moderator of the modding forum here
The config needs to go into /config/ since some versions now. The readme inside a mod archive should always contain the latest information. I got slightly confused what you meant by main page (first/original post in this thread) but i removed the outdated info now.
Thanks a ton. I meant your opening post that started this entire thread I'm off to give this a try and hopefully it shall work. I've always loved your mods. Thanks for creating them.
Install FML according to it's instructions
Drop Finder Compass mod file into /mods/ folder You MUST put the config file into your .minecraft folder.
Adjust config file in .minecraft folder as you need
But in the read me file it says
- Requires FML (Forge ModLoader, it's also part of Forge!)
- Extract the /setup/ folder found in this archive into your .minecraft folder. The mod zip needs to end up in the .minecraft/mods/ folder and the .cfg file needs to be in .minecraft/config/
So the main page says to drop the config file into the .minecraft folder
but the read me says to drop the config file into the .minecraft/config
I put the config file into the config folder and opened the mod folder of the download, took the mod zip and put that into the mod folder of the .minecraft. If the mod doesn't work, I'll put the config file into the .minecraft folder instead.
I'll give this a try but after watching the vid you have in your op, I'm wary. The guys inventory kept vanishing. That's highly unfair to a map that is that hard. Unless he was having glitches or something?
I'll check this out but one word of advise: post screenshots of the map so people know what they're getting in to. It's also a map/texture pack forum rule to post screenshots. At least one is needed, but do post more if you want to give a good teaser.
edit after playing: If this is your first map, it wasn't bad, though only lasted about 2 minutes xD. Was the ending supposed to be
You end up falling into a block and suffocate to death?
If you head to the modding and mapping section of this forum, you will definitely find help for your problem I don't have a Mac, but someone sure does.

Please ignore this. I have no idea how to delete posts. I figured out my issue, thank goodness.

Never mind, it's still not English. :/
I'll just try and get by best I can. I deleted the original download and put the one above me in instead. Was that wrong to do?

Either way, which is correct?

If so, cute. If not, you better fix that xD
