Another very brief stint here on MCF, I don't think I really belong here anymore so.
A mashed together list I made:

Melodic metal: Baroness (Purple), Torche (Harmonicraft,
Stoner Metal: Electric Wizard (Dope Throne), Sleep (Dope Smoker)
Progressive Metal: Rush (2112), Tool (10,000 Days) (Stay the hell away from Dream Theatre)

Hardcore Punk: Black Flag (My War), Full of Hell (Full of Hell & Merzbow), Minor Threat (Complete Discography), Have Heart (The Things We Carry)
Post-Hardcore: Fugazi (Repeater), La Dispute (Wildlife)
Nu Metal/Rap Metal (deal with it): Rage Against the Machine (Self titled), Deftones (White Pony)

In bold are bands I find have clever lyricism.
The whole VR thing looks nice and is 95% better than what was going on in the 90s but I personally don't have the time or interest to invest in it. Like said earlier in this thread VR is going to be niche thing, I don't imagine myself casually playing with a VR headset anytime soon.
I came to terms last year that Doug Walker (AKA The Nostalgia Critic) was the first real sellout in my life. As well it became obvious how unprofessional his productions are and I just lost a ton of respect for the man. I haven't watched a full episode of Nostalgia Critic since.
I'm not particularly excited because Civil War is based off the comic storyline of the same name which happens to be pretty bad. I know they're not going to directly copy the story but I'm sick of superheroes fighting each other and then realizing they've wasted too much time and have to fight the greater evil. I will still probably see and maybe it'll surprise me but I'm keeping my expectations low even with Spiderman.
