posted a message on Witch farm spawn rate
I just found a witch hut in my seed and was wondering if I'll still be able to spawn witches without lighting up everything? Say for example I made a fall shaft for them to fall (but not die) and then left it overnight while I slept. Would I get any witches at all?

    Thanks for the help.

I was able to build the t flip flop and the tower you've shown. So when I press the button the lights stay on until it's pressed again. What I can't figure out is how to activate all this with the pressure plates. do I just wire the plates to the button or do I have to replace the button with something else?

Edit: Nevermind. I hit the button once and the lights turn on, but don't turn off again when I hit the button the 2nd time. I have the first repeater at 3 ticks and the 2nd at 4. When they are both at 4 it turns on and off instantly and when the 1st is on 4 and the 2nd on 3 it just turns on and off as well.

posted a message on Help with ceiling lighting
I hope this is the right section to ask for help. I'm trying to make a storage room (multiple adjacent storage rooms) that will all have ceiling lights. I would like the lights to turn on when I walk over a pressure plate and then turn off when I walk back over them. Tried looking on YouTube but most of them would use pistons and replace the ceiling with a redstone lamp. I just want the redstone lamps to always be showing and turn on and off from the pressure plates. I would also like to keep it compact as I will have many adjacent rooms with the same design. My design is like this: (Top down view)

    W-Wall
    C-Chest
    P-Pressure Plate

    W W W W W W
    W W C C W W
    W C C W
    W C C W
    W W W W
    W W P P W W

This is how each room would be laid out so if possible I'd like to hide the redstone below & above so each room is not spaced too far apart. I was able to turn the lamps on using just redstone wiring but wasn't able to make them stay on. Would appreciate any help with this.

Also what are the cords of the spawner? Thanks

Not far from spawn. Really close. You'll see a cave opening in the ground with a few trees around it. If you go in the cave (shouldn't be any mobs) at the end you'll see a dirt wall. If you remove 1 block you should see the dungeon.

Hey do you know what the seed is? Thanks

    Ya it's 1868910646

Ended up just standing on top of the spawner and using:
    /setblock <x> <y> <z> mob_spawner 0 replace {EntityId:"Skeleton"}

Just have to replace <x> <y> <z> with the actual numbers in creative mode.

Sorry for posting on an old thread but my question relates. I have dug a hole straight down with a width of 2 all the way down with ladders on 1 side. I took all the torches out as I needed them. Do I need to keep the shaft lit? I have the bottom landing lit up but the shaft is dark. Is there a chance anything can spawn in mid air or is it safe to keep it dark.

It will always be a zombie spawner as far as I know.
There may be a way to use an editor to change it.

That sucks lol I googled seeds that have skeleton spawner and when I try the seed it's always gives me a zombie instread.

    Thanks for the help.

posted a message on Question about spawners
I found a cool seed and it has a spawner close to spawn. I keep getting a zombie spawner, which I don't want. My question is, if I keep re-creating the seed could I eventually get a skeleton spawner or will I always get the zombie one no matter how many times I re-create?

    Thanks.
