What's up Minecraft Community! For the past several weeks on my server, we've been working on digging out an inverted pyramid as shown in the pictures above. It's been a really long and daunting task, 273,809 blocks to be exact, which most of our regular players are burnt out on. That's why I'm adding some incentive, and making the project available to the community at the same time.
Before simply posting: "Just get WorldEdit" or "Do it in creative mode", let me mention that the server is over 2 1/2 years old, and has always been strictly vanilla survival. No map editing tools or item giving ever been used and Creative Mode is strictly forbidden. The world's item ecosystem is closely managed and nothing is wasted or lost.So if you're interested in helping, there is something in it for you.
Real, physical prizes, that I'll be giving out to the best diggers. There are going to be 3 tiers of prizes. Each one will involve filling 3 double chests completely to the brim with resources dug from the project. You can redeem prizes after reaching each tier, but only in a 'cash-out' system. Once one tier prizes is received, you lose that credit and can't stack it for a higher prize.Also, as an added bonus, each double chest filled automatically rewards 8 IRON BLOCKS in-game. So you can make more tools even though enchanted tools will be provided.To claim a prize, you will must give me your address at some point (over a private email conversation), so if you are uncomfortable with that, you might as well not bother. Unless you simply just want to have fun on the server, of course.
* Max limit of 2 prizes which must be claimed at the same time...
I may add more choices in prizes as time passes, and if you have suggestions, feel free to let me know.The server is whitelist only but we have Free-play Fridays where anyone who wants can join. So you can join on any Friday but if you are blocked because of the whitelist, just respond to the topic with your IGN and I'll add you.

What's up guys! I'm posting because today I decided to make my 2 year old world public. Friends and I play on it regular but it'd be nice to get some regular players to increase productivity. It's simply vanilla survival, I believe it's running 1.7.2 right now but I can upgrade it when needed. The video is basically just a tour of the world. It has always and strictly will stay survival, so don't ask for creative or special items. I don't really care about age, etc, so if you're interested, just reply with your MC username.Regular backups are made of the world often, so there is a form if grief protection and you don't have worry about your builds.If you're interested, just let me know, I'll PM when you're white listed.

I'm 14 and have been playing Minecraft for 2ish years, I love to build and would enjoy being able to hang out with some others on a server! It's amazing that there's finally some pure vanilla servers out there..

Hi, I would love to be apart of your community. I have been playing Minecraft since 1.2.5, and have had many different servers and have done just about everything there is to do in Minecraft. I've decided to devote most of my time a whitelisted server, because the vanilla concept seems fun to me, and interacting with others is way better than lonely single player. I look forward to doing community projects (and pranks if they are allowed) on the server, from building a library to the biggest farm out there. I am 12 years old, but feel that I am very mature.
