posted a message on Factorization 0.8.108
I have a crash to report. While I have been messing around in creative with this update, I was more than eager to try the lacerator. The issue is that when a block is placed in the lacerator's 'chew' zone, the game will crash once it begins to actually affect the block. I include the crash report and a list of mods I am using to help who ever can help me with this issue

    crash log

I really can't wait to see what else Azanor puts into this mod. Let's hope that the arcane door and pressure plate come in next update. Speaking of new stuff, I have two ideas; one being an edit to the arcane levitator and the other being something that a lot of us on this thread have wanted for a while.

    1. The arcane levitator is great. We all know that. But I feel it would be so much better if we could rotate it, that way we could push mobs around horizontally without messing with the crazieness that minecraft water physics are. Perhaps using the log placement code would work.

    2. Mob in a jar. A while back Azanor himseld mentioned that capturing a mob in a jar would be a neat function for thaumcraft. And now with the exsistance of the node in a jar, I feel we are close to putting mobs in a jar. Really it wouldn't require all too much, use the set up for the node in a jar, but instead of a node have a mob in there.

I'm done with my ramblings now. Proceed to glance and scroll over this comment. Good bye and have a nice life.

Yes!!!!!!! The wait is over. To all thaumaturges, thaumomancers, or any magician; lets us desend upon the great work of Azanor's and enjoy it. Thank you Azanor, this is one of my favorite mods, I feel that it has been worth the wait. Goodbye all and hello thaumcraft 4.

Azanor, all I can say is wow. You have blown my mind once agian with thaumcraft 4.

Now onto the real reason of this post. A block and an item in thaumcraftcraft 3 that I would like to see brought over to thaumcraft 4.

    1. The Arcane Levitator
This block jst needs to be transfered over, it is too veristle. This block was the founding force behind one of my old worlds, with a main house up way up the sky and mining near bedrock level that block was a life saver in more than a few ways. A change to I would personlly like to see a way to rotate it. Just think of all the mob traps we could create if it just had the ability to slide mobs along the ground.

    2. The Harness
I know that it would be hard to replicate the harness of thaumcraft 3 in thaumcraft 4, but I did enjoy its mechanics and I liked using it more than the suped up armor that other mods use as flight. I really don't want to see that item and its modle just be kept in thaumcraft 3.

    That is all.

So I have been doing a lot of thinking and messing about this past week and this is what I'm thinking of doing so far.
IMPORTANT: I'm still in the design and planning stages so none of this is set in stone...

Really great so far, though I will say one thing. If you can please add some Discworld references.

    For Binnie:

Is there anyway that you can add a download for just the machines (liquid DNA included) and alveray blocks (minus the mutator) of extra-bees. I have been playing around with regular forestry/thaumic-bees and I've enjoyed both, but the issue I have is princesses. I don't have enough of them to do everything I want. And, if your bees are noticed by thaumic bees, then their mutations require your bees.

Extra-Bees is a great add-on to forestry and you've done a great job with it, but ironically I don't want all of the extra bees or frames, I would just like the machines and the alveray blocks (minus the mutator). I don't mean any of this to be rude or mean in any way. Please respond back if you can

EnnekPL: I'd say the issue is thaumcraft, but you already kow that. What is the log from, what were you doing to get it? That might help us figure the issue out.

Duke 2.0: On the overall I am satisfyed by the teir 2 research. I also agree with you in that a buffer is needed for the Theory of Everything; reason being is that you can beeline for it after reaching the second teir and not enjoy the research of the rest of teh second teir.

Bernardos: That is something I'm sure a lot of thaumaturges would like, me included.

Laughing_Man16: Gregtech is a rehaul of Industrail craft. Overall it primarly make everything more expensive and add elements to certain ores/products.
Also, I know it's hard to tell what a person sounds like though their writing. I overall just think that everyone is "talking" in calm voice, it makes the "rude" post seem less loud.

    hextech wings ...

I like this idea, though it could us a little refinement. Perhaps using sticks and enchanted fabric for the "wing" structure instead of just gold, as well as usage of the arcane levitator. This could actually make a nice intermediate reasearch between the levitator and the carpet, should that be the way Azanor goes. Also, a name suggestion, Wings of the Thaumaturge

    Quote from chainlinc3

...Okay, so I've had thoughts kicking around in my head for a bit, and I'd like to throw them out here...

I agree, having some event based reasearch would defianlty add a lot more to thaumcraft. And as for the mob in'a jar look below

    Quote from WTFFFS

The second idea is one that has been around for a while not sure if Azanor is planning to add it or not but "mob ina jar" has been raised before and I recall Azanor liked the idea but wasn't sure how it would work from a mechanics viewpoint.

Azanor himself has wanted mob in'a jar for a while now, he says so in his "interview" with slowpoke, it's on one of their youtube channels. And as for mechanics, lets see what I can did up from the past...

This was posted be me around December, the original post is quite a few pages back:

Yes I know Azanor said he had plans for it and it is clearly going to be implemented *nugdes the warded jar* but here is how it would be implemented. If you hit a non-hostile mob with a wand it will proceed to shrink and then right clicked with a warded jar before it grows back to full size. For hostile mobs you would need another tier of reseach and when clicked the mob would shrink and freeze, for easy collecting. But creepers could still blow up and they would need a reinforced jar to hold them, made by adding more panes to a regular one along with some armor essence. To release a mob from jar, it would act as a spawn egg and the jar would be destroyed, the idea is that the mob grows back and it shatters the glass when growing.

I'm sorry for text wall, I usually try to make post smaller.

The mirrors don't act as chunk loaders, and for them to work the chunk that one is must be loaded as well as the others chunk. I hope this helps
