I love the way the houses and roads conform to the landscape; the non-uniform layout really helps to create a lively city atmosphere. I see that impressive amounts of detail have been packed into every nook and cranny as well. Very nice city- I especially like the designs of the houses.

posted a message on Has any of you ever gone to jail before?
Well... there was that time when I punched a guard in the face.

And then again when some dude caught me picking his pockets.

Oh, and also that moment when I set this guy on fire and flattened his face with my daedric warhammer...

IRL though... nope, though I once had an officer scream in my face for a half hour in an attempt to intimidate me into confessing my participation in a fight that I didn't even know existed. (Apparently I matched the description of one of the people in the fight, and since I was covered in old scrapes and bruises from handling animals and was jogging at the time, I unwittingly became a prime suspect.)

Thanks for the feedback! How many investigation points did you get in total?

For all the time spent searching... I only got 55 out of the 100. They're very well hidden. :)

I got an E ending... guess I spent to much time hunting for investigation points. Oh well... family <>

All in all, very well-designed map! Loved the clockwork puzzle- I think it was my favorite of the challenges in the map. The end boss fight was kind of... easy... and silly. :P

posted a message on A Letter From Silent Heaven (Silent Hill 2 recreated in Minecraft) [MC ver 1.7.2]
You, sir, have earned the title of 'Maestro of 'MC Special FX'.

The sheer amount of thought and detail put into the textures, sounds, storytelling, and general redstone wizardry made for one of the most atmospheric adventure maps I've played. Area transitions were seamless, map hints were just sufficient enough for player direction, and the map had a considerable amount of content.

Really, trying to keep mental maps of the labyrinthian buildings made up the bulk of the map's challenge. Puzzles were inventive, though not that hard to solve, and the combat portions were very easy (not that I mind... combat in MC isn't the most entertaining of things...). I spent hours checking every nook and cranny, finding item goodies in some and monstrous surprises in others.

Like everyone said- bloody brilliant map! I'll definitely be hard pressed to find a better horror adventure out there.

Oh, and one little off-topic question: did you carve the pumpkins in your avatar?

    Neither, thank you.

I'll stick with home-brewed tea or Honest Tea (organic, and only 30-80 calories worth of sugar per pint. It tastes goood. ^_^)

Gotta say August. Its that last month of summer weather, complete with hazy yellow air and brain melting heat, that I have to endure before September finally arrives with its clear skies and cooler weather. Hurrr, hurr, hurr, cooler weather.... yesterday it was 75F on Nov1... our climate's turning friggin Tropical...

...And then there's this ridiculous experiment. You may have spotted a bit of it in the previous screenshots. I took one of the towers, copied, rotated, flipped and pasted them into this city inside a canyon. I don't think I'll every try to complete this. Here's an unfinished render and some shots:

You should give it a try... you'd be surprised at how fast you can accomplish something if you just sit down and do it. What you have already looks amazing. If you were to polish it off, the end result would probably be similar to this; needless to say, it would be breath-taking!

Very cool! Awesome work on the fans and overgrowth. All it needs now is is some cobwebby, knocked-over furniture inside, and you would have an excellent Halloween set piece. ;)

posted a message on what is the most scary thing that's ever happened to you
Once I came down with a case of bronchitis (or something or another... I didn't know what it was at the time or how to deal with it.) My airways were almost completely blocked, and I could only wheeze in a thin trickle of air to breath. I resisted sleeping that night because I was afraid I'd suffocate while asleep. Finally my dad came home from work at a point late in the night, and he gave me some mucus thinning syrup that enabled me to breath again.

posted a message on WIP: Dragons-Mountains-Caves-Monsters and other stuff! Adventure Map!
Somebody knows how to make some cool-looking dragons. :-) I agree with the previous poster that that guildhouse is also a very sweet build. (and also agree that it would be nice if you used image tags...)

So what type of Adventure map will it be? Will it have puzzles, parkour, or combat, or have a large focus on sights and story?

Looks like it would be a wonderful house to live in if it existed IRL. Love the yard and brick-lined walkways/driveways. The only thing I would add to is that flat, circular, stone roof; it looks fine from ground level but from above it seems a bit plain.

Little King's Story on the Wii.
This gem is probably one of my favorite games on the Wii. It just makes me feel happy. I love games where you get to manage your own kingdom.

I second that recommendation. Anybody who likes the Pikmin series will probably enjoy this title, as they share very similar combat mechanics. The game also had some very inventive, if at times weird and frustrating, bossfights.
