Really you don't need to port forward! You just need to go on to the windows firewall and make a new rule and allow the port 25565. Once you've done that allow Minecraft Server (Whatever Version) through the firewall and now that server will work for anyone (on your network) to play with you simple.
This is wrong. You will need to port forward unless you have a dedicated IP for your computer.
It was definitely good that you tried setting your computer to DMZ, as sometimes that can get around weird issues related to security. I believe the issue could be caused by a few things.
First of all, go into your Network and Sharing Center. Under the "View your active networks" section, make sure it is set as a "Home Network". I've encountered problems where that was set to Public or whatever and many services were thrown off.
If that doesn't work, try hosting the server on a different computer in your network to see if it works that way. If not, the problem is at your router, or higher up.
Also, because you did not specify otherwise, you are using your public IP to test on canyouseeme, correct? You can find your public IP here.
If all of the above doesn't work, and your public IP is showing that it can't connect with the server running, I would place the blame either on your router blocking connections for some reason, or on your ISP. Years ago I had an ISP that NAT'ed several customers on a shared public IP, so when a request came in on your public IP, it would go to their router, which made it impossible to host services from home. I might check with them to make sure that type of situation isn't in play here, and work with them to enable hosting a service from home.

Gameplay
The basic point of the game is to setup your own homestead on protected land, where you can build freely and not have to worry about griefing or stealing. You can buy and sell items to other players, and earn money to spend on protection, and other things. Our currency is called “Derps“.
We have two main worlds at Beaverville. The main or normal world is the world you spawn in, and is designed to be very clean. This is where you can protect your own land, and build freely. You are not able to build in this world unless you are building in land you own (we will go into land claiming later in this guide). This is why we have the farm world. The farm world is a world that is reset incrementally (every 1-3 months). It is perfect for mining and gathering resources. You cannot protect area or chests in this world, so it is not a good place to settle. By separating the two worlds, it can allow the world you build and settle in clean and pristine, while having a world that can be torn up and explored available for resource gathering. We allow open teleportation between the worlds.
Rules
Our rules are very simple, and are easy to obey. Because our rules are so simple, we will not tolerate people who cannot abide by them.
Be Respectful - Show respect to all players and staff, in and out of the server.
No Griefing – Do not destroy other people’s work unless approved by that person or a staff member.
No Stealing – Do not steal from other people.
No Profanity – Do not use foul language, as a variety of people should feel comfortable to play here. Please keep conversational language at a PG level.
No Scamming – Do not take advantage of others by tricking them.
No Spamming – Do not spam the chat with any irrelevant links, websites, capitalized exclamations, or unnecessarily frequent messages.
No Cheating – Do not use any bugs, exploits, or cheats to give yourself an unfair advantage.
Report Bugs/Glitches – Please do not exploit, but instead, privately report any bugs or glitches to staff members.
Use Common Sense – Please use your head while playing, and do not do anything that seems wrong.
Have Fun! – At the end of the day, this is a game, and everyone plays it to have fun!

What you do best in minecraft: Farming
I haven't played Minecraft recently, but am looking for a server that can meet at least some of the following criteria.
Must-Haves:
Town-based gameplay with focus on town systems and plots (Towny preferred)
A thriving and balanced economy
Survival aspects, whether the survival is between towns or in another world
Other Wishlist:
No PVP, and mature gameplay
Mumble or Teamspeak server for easy communication
Large player base (At least 15-20 on at all times)
Friendly and active community
Built up server, and at least a few months old
Thank you for spending the time to read this post, and please let me know if you know of a server that is similar or meets this criteria and I would love to check it out!
Its funny because this is pretty much how Brohoster ended.
Maybe both you and JWJ will learn someday to stop handing your company over to someone else. If you can't handle it yourself, this might not be the industry for you.
Have you ever been banned on a server? If yes, why? Yes, for killing an admin who kept killing me.
How old are you? 12 years old.
Do you have Teamspeak? Not yet.
What is rule number 7? Be respectful to all people including staff, admins, and guests to the server.
What is your in-game name? Dellter
Have you even been banned on a server? If yes, why? No
How old are you? 13
Do you have Teamspeak? No
