I think there should be seatbelts in minecraft. For when the game crashes.

Oh and also cars. and trucks. Trucks would carry more than cars and cars can jump.

Not so well, he's dropping it all and going to start work on another project.

    but not really

yeah, it's a real bummer, but at least his new project seems cool. I like the idea of randomly generating puzzles that function.

    >.>

your fence is over-complicated. Minecraft is not over-complicated. Over-complicated implementations only work well in over-complicated games. Therefore, it doesn't belong in minecraft.

My deduction is solid and valid.

Now, you can already make fences even. Way better ones that don't annoy me and the game.

lol, all of the screenshots are a lie. Notch will run away to a South African home with servants soon with all of the cash we gave him.

I don't really mind the idea of friendly slimes.

Facemask, however, is ridiculous. If you can't breathe in water, you definetely can't breathe in goo. especially in goo while underwater.

Lol, I bet the code is some wordplay or something. Notch seems into that, see, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godel,_Escher,_Bach a book Notch recommended.

That or he's not an idiot, hence, reading such an insane read, and he knows that creating a wordplay passcode would be too easy or gay and just has random numbers.

you....>=[ are suggesting that my food spoils?

No. screw that. I'll backtrace you to hell and back.

having food that spoils is like having fatigue. It just punishes you for playing the game right.

You really think they wont just hack harsher? You can reinforce again and again, but so can they, its a never-ending battle. Also, we are dealing with serious hackers... Communities of them that are made of them, massive ones too. (WoM for example). You honestly think they will not refine there methods so they can be invincible and always win?

...LIKE I SAID....with a good debugging, there is no such thing as hacking browser games. High-End java applets with serious debugging, like what Minecraft is turning in to, cannot be hacked. Java is probably the second easiest programming language to "thwart hacking!" in(other than Flash's).

Simple proof: Runescape. The most you can do in that game is apply a clicking program, which wouldn't benefit you in minecraft at all. They debugged and thwarted hacking 100%

There is no such thing as impossible with hacks (so I've heard).

You've heard wrong, that's what's so great about browser games. In a well debugged game, all you can really do to "hack" the game is create a program that clicks for you. That's hardly hacking. And it's nearly impossible to benefit from an auto-click program in miencraft survival. There is literally nothing. The only thing that comes to mind is something to speed-fire arrows or speed-hit with a sword, which could be easily fixed with a minimum delay between fires/hits, which might even already be implemented I don't know.

If benefit > consequence, you are doing the smart thing by committing said act.

If it's lavaing someone's fort and killing them while taking their loot, you're doing the smart thing. Especially in a game.

If they come and kill you and take your stuff, you miscalculated and the consequence >'d the benefit.

That's a game. an awesome, fair game.

Is it unfair to take someone's stuff in a game that permits it? or is it unfair to say someone can't take your stuff in a game that permits them to?

    obviously the latter.

Why would we need rope? we already have ladders. Seems they serve about the same purpose, unless you want to kill minecraft with nooses and leashes.
