Is there a new way to access your inventory in standard PS3 original (not classic) crafting mode?
For the last few updates I've been unable to access my inventory unless I switch to Classic Crafting mode.
At first I thought maybe the button had been changed; I've browsed the change logs and forums for others that may have the same issue but have found nothing.
If the button has changed to access inventory, please let me know how;
If it's a bug that has gone unnoticed or unreported by anyone else for this long- shame on us ALL!

Oh, but DAT LAG!!! Still unplayable.

It's all about DOORS when breeding villagers. 4 doors per villager is more than enough, so you might try around 28 valid doors to get them to breed.
Read this article in the Wiki if you haven't already--> http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Villager#Breeding

Sorry, Mora- have been away from console edition.
The lighting glitch has been present for a while- I hadn't noticed a problem with it until MacBros brought it up and I paid more attention to it- I seem to recall an earlier PC version had a similar problem.
As for the pigs, we aren't alone- after my post I found a similar post on the PS4 forum, so it seems universal to the patch on at least two CE platforms.
Crafty: And you know 'we don't need no, block control'.

Sorry for the late reply. I haven't been playing MCCE PS3. 4J indicated they won't be back until next year and as it is, it's unplayable for me.
I don't think it's any particular class of trade villager; I have been moving the older ones to a 'retirement village' and noticed the new trades in a couple of them, so I don't think they are the same class.
I will check after the next update, meanwhile- back to PC version.

update 1.39. So far my zombie, skeleton and cave spider farms and another random spider spawner have become pig spawners- and the quote at the main menu when I exited, "Bringing home the bacon" 0o - something not listed in the patch logs?

After updating 1.39, trading with some of my older villagers has caused them to add all wool trades in addition to their original trades.

I believe this has always been the case... simply press back (circle) to dismiss and continue playing offline.

Having said that, I will also add that I won't be playing the PS3 version anymore until there is a fix for the crashing and losing everything from the previous save. I can get a lot done in 10 minutes, enough that it's not worth trying anymore until it's fixed. I've never had this problem on the PC version, but maybe I'm just lucky.....
I can almost live with the lack of animal spawning/ability to breed/ max 8 armor stands, etc. and the situational controller lag among others- but losing work time after time becomes a bit frustrating.

I play both PS3 and PC. You should be able to master the basic controls in a short time, you'll get the others as you need or discover them.
The PC version is a bit more challenging, so be prepared to die more often.
While the PC version is more robust (and has more features and you can find all biomes) I find myself playing the PS3 version more- partially for the ease and comfort of the wireless controller and it's more like a 'personal-size'. On console if you die, there's almost nowhere you can't get in 5 minutes if you need to. If you go out exploring on PC and end up a few thousand blocks from your bed or spawn, you can forget about whatever you were carrying in many cases if you die.

In addition to a recent post I made (Sea Monster! seed 4563456345634563 I came across another Sea Monster! seed "The Demon Seed" but don't use the quotes has one at x292 z106. It also has a Desert Temple, 2 nice Mesa biomes and a Savanna village with 2 libraries.

I've been through over 200 seeds on v1.36 (mostly surface safaris) and only ONCE have I come across fossil remains... and it's a sea monster!
Edit: When it rains, it pours; found another Sea Monster at x292 z106 in the seed The Demon Seed
which includes a Desert Temple, 2 mesa biomes and a Savanna village with 2 libraries.

'Brewery Run' enter seed z1z2z3z4z5z6z7z8
In 2 villages (the only structures I found) I collected 3 diamonds, 2 iron picks, iron boots, apples, bread, iron ingots and 17 obsidian; enough for a nether portal AND an enchanting table!
'Swamp Thing' enter seed A0b1C2d3E4f5G6h7
I don't remember a lot other than it had no structures and there were swamps everywhere.

I can get close, but no ocean monument- these are rare anyway. No jungles or flower forests either- but it does have a lot!
Spawn near Ice Spikes. There's some big Tiaga, Mega-Tiaga and Tundra, but no igloos (didn't see any bear, but one might spawn)
The Mesa is HUGE and includes a surface accessible mineshaft (I got a random chest with a name tag above the surface also).
There is a big plains Village with a church and farms, but no Blacksmith.
There is a Desert Temple (partially buried) with so much loot, you might not be able to carry it all!
The Nether Fortress is also large with plenty of loot and at least two Blaze spawners. If you place a portal in the right place in the fortress, you end up teleporting near the End Portal when you go through.
Many biomes also include:
Small Mooshroom
Large Desert
Roofed Forests
Oak and Birch forests
Extreme Hills
Small Swamps
Small Savannahs
Some Plains
Islands
1 or 2 wells
more!

I've experienced this glitch in my Zombie, Skelly and 2X Cave Spider spawner farms. All of these use lighting to control spawning. It really seems only a graphical glitch and, to me, has not seemed to actually affect spawn numbers, but it could be that mobs are spawning twice as fast because there are only half as many.
Most of my farms have an area which I can view operations.
I've discovered that when I first turn out the lights, the glitch can appear- but flicking the lights on-and-off again ultimately defeats it. In the case of the 2X Cave Spider farm, it can appear in either of the connected 9x9 farms.
TRY THIS:
I've also found that the glitch can appear or remedy by placing or removing an outside perimeter block (from the 9x9 chamber in my case), but can't find a consistent culprit (though placing a ladder outside has caused it). Use an x-ray glitch to check.
not related, I don't think, but placing a leaf block on a redstone ore block causes it to glow as if it were being broken.
