You're hilarious.
So some guys making a performance-enhancing mod for Minecraft are at fault because they don't hand their work over to Mojang. Apparently they hold special keys to optimizing Java code that is just somehow inaccessible to people at Mojang.
How about Mojang codes it properly in the first place? How about putting the responsibility of making Minecraft run correctly on the heads of the people making it and profiting off of it? Good god.
The state of Minecraft right now is inexcusable. These updates should have never been released. And I'm not just talking about 1.5. Basically all the updates in the past half-year have hacked away at the framerate, and it's like Mojang doesn't care at all. FPS has been slightly worse, slightly worse still, and now with 1.5 it's terribly worse. We shouldn't need quad-core and 8 gigs of RAM just to run a pixelated block world. And even then to run it poorly. Pitiful.
if you say you are good with coding then send in your resume to Mojang. they would love to have you if you know whats best for the game. -

Want a quick laugh? Use the commands to give yourself the instant health effect, then go jump into the void.

Not the idea I had in mind, but I included a screenshot of what I was saying. Below are two dropper blocks (can also be used with dispencers) both powered by that one redstone torch. One has a comparator with the torch off, while the other one has the comparator torch on (or subtraction mode). The dropper with the comparator torch off, is firing the items at a more faster rate and will continue until stopped. The other dropper isn't firing at all, which has the comparator torch lit. Both are filled with paper. Hope you understood the concept. But we still don't know if this feature is here to stay until 1.5 arrives.
ok so it dose work. I just needed to put some items in the dropper/dispenser. -

Nope can't get it to work. a picture of your technique would be nice.Quote from PonyDude186Are you sure, I tested it again and works fine. If the front torch of the comparator is lit, is doesn't do the rapid fire thing. If the front torch is off, then it will do the thing correctly. Try it again with this technique.
How ever you can achieve the rapid fire by placing a dispenser with a block beside it, and on that block put a switch. Next put 3 redstone wire in a loop connected to the comparator. Put the comparator in subtraction mode and then put a redstone torch beside the receiving end were the main power would enter. Refer to picture for a better understanding on what it should look like. Oh one thing the redstone wire is flashing rapidly, you can not tell in a still picture. =)

I have a command block that's giving me problems. I set up a dummy objective (which I named Data) and now have the command block set up to a button. Ideally, when a player presses this button it would check to see if the player has a data value of 2, and if so would give them the sword. But my specifier is ineffective, if the objective of Data merely exists it will give the player the sword regardless of their score. I don't know why it's doing this, I've tried renaming the objective; tried adding different ranges; changing the required score; made sure command blocks were on; tried using the "testfor" command to check the score instead (same problem). I'll give anyone who presses the button a sword so long as the objective it's testing for exists (regardless of the player's score). Here's all the code that I tried that ignored the specifier, could I please have some help?:
/give @p[score_Data=2] 276
/give@p[score_Data=2,r=5] 276
/give @p[score_Onion=2] 276
/give @p[score_Onion=2,r=5] 276
/testfor @p[score_Data=2]
/testfor @p[score_Data=2,r=3]
/testfor @p[score_Onions=2]
/testfor @p[score_Onions=2,r=3]
you are missing a min and max specifier
so what you need to do is this
/testfor @p[score_Data_min=2,score_Data=2,r=(what ever range you want)]
and then in a new command block: /give @p[r=(must be > or = to the first command block range)] 276
use a comparator to separate the two command blocks. what the comparator will do is it will send a signal to the other command block and stay on until the /testfor command is false,if you don't like that you can just use a repeater and it will stay active for only the players who are in the bracket of the specifier. Oh and the command score_Data is case sensitive.
Edit: I just did a test, you need the comparator for the command /testfor to work. -

Ok it helps if I put the cords in the right spot. to bad the (~) will not work for a /testfor @p or if it dose how would one use it.

the code I was using looks like this:
for some reason it is not working and telling me it is an invalid uuid string or something like that.
all I want to do is test for a any player at X=10, y=0, Z=10 away from the command block with a search radius of 5 blocks from that search spot.
Edit: All of this was done in 1.7.9

Try installing it and see if your Minecraft explodes.

Have you tried a fresh install of the game and then install Optifine?

Awesome man! Glad one of us on this forum could help pinpoint the problem.

It is stable if you just run the mod by itself. unlike most people I don't use forge or other mods.

I was wondering were that feature went.

You can use Photobucket and then copy the link of the photo, then just paste it in your post.

It may not be 100% compatible with 1.7.4. but it still works. Iv been using it for 1.7.4 and I have yet to see a crash.Never mind I see that it auto selected 1.7.2 and installed it to that version.
