"Killing sheep will no longer give you wool however, just the death of a cute, blocky sheep on your conscious."
Killing sheep never gave you wool, and in fact, it now DOES give you wool, 1 wool to be exact.

May 20, 2011Artanis186 posted a message on Patch 1.6 Coming Next WeekHe said he's confirmed the floating islands. That's probably gonna be a few patches away, though. I'm more interested in the maps. Ghasts are probably gonna be hell to fight.Posted in: News

Thanks for considering my suggestions.

The psi blade, to me, looks fairly ugly. Dark blue on black doesn't really fit, imo. Not sure if you'd be able to make it transparent, but at least don't make it go to black. Probably be better to make it go into a lighter blue, to make it seem like it's fading from the inside.
The marines were looking good from what I saw. The baneling I couldn't really tell. It's too far away and only in the front. Could I get a few angle shots of it?

Here are my balance propositions:
Terran are neutral to player and passive mobs, hostile to Zerg and Protoss
Zerg are hostile to all
Protoss are neutral to passive mobs, hostile to the rest
Terran Marine: Ranged, health, damage, medium movement speed, groups of 2-3
Terran Firebat: Close-range AoE, health, damage, movement medium speed, groups of 2-3
Zerg Zergling: Melee, health, damage, fast movement speed, groups of 5-6
Zerg Baneling: Suicide AoE, health, damage (from center), fast movement speed, groups of 2-3
Protoss Zealot: Melee, health, damage, medium movement speed, groups of 1-3
Protoss Stalker: Ranged, health, damage, medium movement speed, groups of 1-2
Optional: Not sure if it's possible to change aggro range, but if so...
Terran have medium aggro range
Zerg have high aggro range
Protoss have low aggro range
And I agree with someone else. Zerg biome would be boss. But it's not needed. I kinda disagree with mineral shards used for healing. Not realistic at all. I think there's enough food in the game, minerals healing would probably make it a tad too easy to stay alive.

Looking really good from that angle. Only thing that seems off about it is the arm. The blade looks like it's consumed half the arm.

The texture's fine, I think the color could look a little more similar to those though. Maybe having the outline lighter than the coloring, ya know, similar to what were in those images. But they're acceptable as they are now if you want to keep them that way.
I'm thinking of a variation of VGFreak's method of the Vespene Gas.
There would be a small cluster of 5 blocks called 'Vespene Geyser'. I suppose in a similar fashion to how the Nether portal detects if it's the right shape, the game would detect if the Vespene Geyser blocks are in a bowl shape and if so, it would spawn a Vespene Liquid block inside it. You can gather that (using a bucket) and over time it would generate another Vespene Liquid.
You could them craft it into a Vespene Orb by putting that Vespene Liquid Bucket in a crafting table surrounded by Glass. Would refund the bucket similarly to cake.
Protoss Vespene Orb reference
Terran Vespene Orb reference
Zerg Vespene Orb reference

Looking nice. Here's the old SC1 minerals for reference.

Suggestions:
- Make the ores blend a lot better with the environment, they don't fit at all with the Minecraft theme.
- The Zealots shouldn't be sticking their arms out like a Zombie, that doesn't make sense to me.
- Make it so the Zealots have a visible blade attached to their wrist when provoked. This'll both improve the aesthetic and be functional so you know whether or not to approach them.
- Improve the sprites, they don't really look good. Keep in mind minerals are a much lighter blue.
- Change the apparent vespene gas containers to cubes instead of cylinders. I believe the Protoss used cubes.
- Make it so the ores are placed on top of the world in bundles, similar to flowers. It'd be better if you could make them have a flower-based sprite (obviously retextured to look like minerals) too and still be mineable with a pickaxe. (Not sure if this is possible, but it'd be neat)
These are my personal thoughts. If all this was implemented, I'd seriously consider downloading.

And there's an edit button for a reason. -.-
