I would assume just vanilla with maybe some skins and resource packs. If he wants to mod it out, I would assume he can save up and buy a better one. this is just a last minute gift Idea. I minecraft, but on console and the pc world is foreign to me as it gets.
RAM is upgradeable in a laptop i would assume? if so ill just have some installed, if not he will deal with the lag. Ill tell him to forgo the iron titan and he should be good
(I'll take different bugs as long as minecraft on Xbox starts to remember that it is to function as minecraft. when the basic functions do not work as they should it throws everyone off. This mainly affects redstoners who make auto farms and the like but it is quite annoying. when you build the Iron foundry in survival to find that it doesn't work because the game doesnt understand the basic functions of a village... well it hurts my soul.
Ignore the noob in my assumption here, but if this next update will bring X1 minecraft up to date with the Windows 10 version has there been any release of information that this will clear up the bugs currently on console? namely the problems with what constitutes a village?
A little off topic, but in my previous world I had a recurring lighting glitch that I never could figure out. I was at Bedrock +3 and during the day, there were random sections of daylight in my mineshaft with no light sources anywhere around. It was in the same coordinates and only affected a roughly 18x18 square. Have you tried (Pain in the butt i know) moving your farm over about 20 blocks?
The best you can do at this pint is buy an xbox dedicated to minecraft and leave it on all the time. the issue here is that it will take up one player space, not to mention the price of the xbox. A buddy does this for Ark and it works decently. good luck!
This is all great info. I did weasel a Villager out of my single villager pod and then put him on the opposite side of the farm. Immediately the whole village started getting frisky. BABIES EVERYWHERE! I am not sure why but hey, I am not complaining. I still have golems spawning outside the farm, and I am not quite sure why as they spawn outside the farm in ALL 4 directions. I think I may just cut this down to a 16x16 farm, and half slab the next 8 blocks out to make sure this stops happening. Out of pure coincidence there are 2 zombie spawners and a spider spawner within 60 blocks of my iron farm, so I have a pretty set up going for AFK Farming. Unfortunately I have not located a skele spawner yet, and with my luck it will end up beeing 2000 blocks that a way. But this seed is pretty OP has 4 villages within 300 blocks (or so) of spawn plains, desert, roofed forest, birch forest, oak forest and mountains all over the place.
Within 16 blocks of one of the villagers... that is new info to me. My farm is actually 18x18 square out 150 blocks away from the nearest door in any direction. I modeled it from a youtube video (ill check the original poster and get back to you) that works up in the air and just placed it ground level as I was going to stack one on top of it 64 blocks up for an additional revenue source.
The mechanics of minecraft are amazing for a game that at first glance looks to be a very simple child's game. I will never understand why I waited so long to pick this up. Learning and implementing redstone is quickly becoming a favorite pass-time.
I have traded with them, fed them etc. There are about 60 doors give or take and all within LOS not to mention the proximity of all villagers. This exact setup works over ground just fine. I ended up just making a rail to another village almost 2000 blocks away and dumping 2 more in. Now the iron golems are spawning, but they are spawning outside of the farm way too often. I am about to get creative as this has been a much bigger headache than building it 64 blocks above ground level.
I built a ground level snail farm about 100 blocks from any doors. I carted 8 villagers and dumped them in. Had 2 villagers born and a couple died. Back at 8. Now the villagers will not enter love mode, and my farm produced a whopping 24 iron in about 18 hours.
Suggestions?
I have well over 21 doors and in have tried breaking them but I can't get the villagers to spawn offspring... it is infuriat4.
Why 4J will spend time to fix this (when anyone can go into creative and have as much of anything they would like) but not fix the multiple errors pertaining to villagers, houses and basic mechanics that make minecraft what it is, is beyond me. I am not a fan of dupping as it destroys what the game is meant to be, but let's be real here, idc what you do in your server and I would like to build the iron titan in survival...

It would it be to much to ask to have the entity tracker that is currently on pc added to the game as well? Makes auto cow farms much more manageable.
