Nice... would you be willing to share the model files? I'm sure some of us (me. :P) would find them useful for our own packs.

    @Minecraftian: That's a fine-looking dragon! Looks very leathery and dragon-y.

I made 3D saplings! I shall call them... mini-trees. Also redid lit furnace and dragon egg (both animated. The furnace is down from 32 frames to 8. Whew)

    Those mini-trees are absolutely adorable.

I'll see about getting that done today. Thanks for the encouragement.

As an experiment, I'm thinking of doing a video where I talk about the changes I've made to the pack. More to test out my recording and editing process than anything else. Would anyone be interested in hearing the "artists' commentary" on the updates? Don't worry, I'll still include screenshots where possible. ;)

    This sounds good to me.

So I have been planing to stop work on werian entirely. I thought I changed m style so much that it would be weird to include my old textures with the new ones. I will most likely create a new pack thread and transfer only the textures which I'm still content with from werian. There will still be some time before the release of the "new" version of the pack will be released. Just thought I'd drop in with a status update of the pack and some stuff I'v been working on.

    Some stuff so far:

    - Updated stonebrick with some brick variations (indents and some stronger discolored)
    - Updated regular stone, added some value shifting.
    - Stonebrick double slabs (stonebrick cobble mix)
    - Diorite, Andesite, Granite now have new repeat pattern textures which kinda blend with regular stone while still trying - to maintain their integrity.
    - Started work on grass, 7x7 repeat pattern
    - Started work on dirt, 4x4 repeat pattern

And yes, that's a 5x5 repeat pattern with classic ctm. It consists of 1175 tiles, 25 different tiles for each classic ctm tile

That is both gorgeous and mind-blowing.

You don't know how much I hate doubleposts, but I got some textures done, and I want to show them NOW! 32x32 resolution pixel-art textures took me horrible amount of time, so I changed resolution to 16x16 and made some vivid colored pixel-art stuff.

These are quite nice. What's the stuff under the stone?

Just a heads-up: I will be closing the "Next Update" poll at the start of the New Year! And wow, F&F and IE are very closely tied...

What little work I've been doing on Triton (holiday busy-ness and whatnot) has been improving existing textures and making the pack look brighter and more consistent all-around. Anyone want to see some pics?

I would love to see some pictures!

I'm not quite sure whether to interpret this statement as a positive on my pack making skills or a negative on this particular pack. <_< I think I'm just in a humbug mood and everything sounds worse than it's intended to be. :(

In other news, I made an Acacia Leaf block that I think I like! ^_^

    Feedback is greatly appreciated! :D

Those leaves are fabulous, and yes, I do like the new spruce log.

Hi I'm Rayavision, you may rememberer me from texture packs that might never, ever be completed like: Ironworks and Ironworks x32 the electric boogaloo. Tonight I bring you the latest of my "pixelart" adventures:

    Wither Skeleton

    Skeleton

    Spider

So I humbly ask you for your opinions and critique, should I continue with this crazy path of pixel murder?, what name would you gave to a hypothetical resource pack derived from this mobs?.

Also this is my first post in this fine thread of yours, so if I'm breaking a rule or something for not asking proper permission first...well let me know. :3

These are truly amazing. If you make this into a full pack, it will occupy the same space in texture heaven as Wayukian and Derivation.

    Time for another...

    This Tree
    - Or -
    That Tree?

I'm having a real problem pinning down an idea for the Acacia leaves. I've tried a few different variations, and so far this concept is the only one I like... and I'm still not entirely sure I'm happy with it. :( I'd really like some suggestions and feedback so I can hopefully get a good acacia leaves block and never have to look at it again. :P

Let me know what you think. Is this better or worse than the existing one... and more importantly does it still suck?

Edit: Oh, and to answer the logical question: Yes, the atrocious acacia logs are being worked on. It will be replaced, if not in the next update then in the update after that.

The shapes on the new one are better, but the shading looks too flat to me.

    I'm... so... cold...

    Cold as ICE!

Yea, it's kinda going to be because of how I do the glass. I cleaned it up a little bit in the screenshot above. Let me know what you think.

Wow! I didn't think anyone would ever notice that! Thank you so much for noticing one of the many little details that I've painstakingly put into the pack! ^_^

That's a bug with Minecraft. It's the only block that does that, as far as I can tell. None of the rest of my custom-named blocks and items append ".name" to the end. I have no idea what causes it and I can't even find a bug tracker issue for it. So sorry, please bear with it. :(

BTW, the reason I gave the silverfish blocks different names was because when I search for "stone" I'd always grab the silverfish versions by mistake. I've spent more time in MCEdit than I care to admit replacing blocks in structures I've accidentally made entirely out of silverfish eggs. This is another reason for the custom textures as well.

That looks much better! The ice looks great, but it seems to have a slight vertical tilling error.
