First this is a truly spectacular creation! Now on with the my problem. I'm pretty new to the mod, trying to create my second spell, it's asking for neutral essence, which I'm assuming (my first mistake) is just essence flowing from a neutral nexus. This leads me to my second problem - I can't seem to get the recipe for blue chalk to work ( my understanding is that it is a shapeless combo of paper, lapis, clay, flint and vinteum dust). Please advise if I've made some mistake and excuse me if this has been covered in one of the previous two hundred and seventy odd pages.
Sigh.
All I had to do is read back a mere 10 pages. Sorry to bother you.
Of course, it's always wise to back up your world save just in case.
Thank for you the info, The update worked splendidly!
On a separate note, I want to send some praise at the creators of this mod! As I continue to explore, I keep stumbling on more and more beautiful, well considered, totally Tolkienesque content. Lothlorien is breathtaking, and I just stumbled across the Dead Marshes today for the first time - delightfully hideous! Well done!
Please forgive the newbie question. How does one go about updating a mod? I'm running LOTR 5.1 now, and have spent a fairly large amount of time building there. How would I update without losing all that work? Would just saving, deleting the old mod, installing the new one and reloading the saves work? Seems possible, but I really don't want to try it until I've heard from those who know.
To the developer: consider adding carving of quartz and redstone blocks. Rhodox has made some impressive variations on both.
Sigh, the mod download site listed above sent me an unusable, corrupted version of the mod. This mod is on my essentials list, I'd really love to be able to use it. Let me know if there's some way I can help.
Is anyone else having trouble downloading the most recent version of Enchantment Plus today? The AdFly site finishes it's countdown, but skipping the ad doesn't take me to a download. Help!
Can someone who's in a patient mood help me get this essential mod back up and running? I uninstalled and re-installed Minecraft in order to get rid of a mod I didn't like. I successfully installed the most recent version or Forge (6.4.1.430), downloaded a fresh dopy of Enchanting Plus, dropped it into the Mods folder like before, but it doesn't show up in game. Suggestions?
These are total newb questions, for which I apologize. I'm guessing the answers are somewhere in the thread, but as it's close to 2200 pages long now, perhaps someone will take pity on my and just answer these.
is there a way to update from 4.2.1 to 4.3.1 without losing the stuff previously created?
Is there some info somewhere about what to do with shark teeth and the like?
Is there some info about the durability of fur armor?
After many tries, in many iterations, I've finally gotten this masterpiece of a mod to work! Brilliant! Is there a guide to all the new things that are craftable somewhere? For instance, I have some shark teeth, is there something to be done with them?
I foolishly updated my MineCraft, too, and now am waiting for the update. I'm not rushing you, just agreeing with everyone else on this thread, that this mod is pretty much essential to playing the game. Just the ability to repair enchanted items completely changed the nature of the game for me.
Is there a way to donate to modders? If not, there should be, and I would gratefully make a contribution.
Pour water on them. If they STILL won't get up, it's likely that you tamed them while playing offline. In that case, they aren't your dogs (They are, but they're not owned by your online account, they'll be owned by "Player").
By Jumping Jehosaphat! Pouring water on them worked like a charm! Thank you very much for the advice! Having lost my dogs to the update on my desktop was crumby enogh, had I lost the dogs on my laptop, too, I might have wept. May you find diamonds on every dig!
Just a bit of amplification of most of the recent comments. I love this mod, it totally changed my Minecraft experience. Unlike your fellow modders, I can't even begin to imagine the complexity involved in updating or rewriting from scratch, so I admire your tenacity and creativity. I feel like a fool for mindlessly updating to 1.3.1 without checking to see what would happen and my first thought upon opening the new game was "My dogs!! What happened to my DOGS!"
So take your time, wait for the various systems to settle down, find that place that helped you create this fantastic mod to begin with, and, if it's not too much, keep us posted. We'll be here, eager to see what you come up with!

Either one. I'd prefer normal, but I'd be happy to have either. Thanks!
