    posted a message on XRay Mod (1.6.4 - 1.11) ( Vanilla/Forge/LiteLoader )

Hey everyone - I just wanted post real quickly and let everyone know I have not abandoned this project and am currently working on an update. No release date has been set. It will officially support 1.11.2 as well as be a lot more stable that previous versions. I'm planning on separating the XRay, Coordinates, and Fly mods so I can update each individually to get updates out faster, as well as give you guys a choice of which mods you want rather than bundling them all together. That way if someone already has a coordinates mod they like, they aren't forced to install mine along with XRay. Likewise, if they want to use my coordinates without being forced to install XRay, they can.

I'd like to also apologize for my absence, I used to be a lot more active. School and life got in the way and I had very little time to work on my mod. However, I want everyone to know that I am committed to putting out an update soon and continuing to support it. As soon as I'm comfortable putting a beta release out for you guys to try I will!

Okay. Here is a working version for 1.11.1 and 1.11.2. There is still more work to be done, but it seems stable enough for a preview release, and I know demand is high. I will have another update out soon that's much more polished. I'm not sure when but when you see the update notification I recommend you update immediately.

    Download here.

Let me know if It crashes or you run into and weird bugs.

    Enjoy.

I don't really know where to ask this so I'm just adding it on to the thread/

I just to be able to add this onto the Attack of the B-team modpack on the technic launcher and run it fine, but ever since the 33 update, the pack crashes with the x=ray mod inside. Does anyone know what could've cause this? I've tried uninstalling the pack, reinstalling and using the newest version of the mod but no dice. If someone can help that'd be great. Thank you!

Should be fixed in the latest version: version 47.

I downloaded Xray 46 and I opened it successfully, however none of the buttons do anything ( Like ' X ' or ' R' or ' L ') :( I'm not sure if I am suppose to do anything on my profile editor. ( I'm using 1.8.9)

Can you post a game output log?

could you put the function to see entities like mobs or dropped items through the blocks? would be really useful!

    Probably not.

XRay 45 for Minecraft 1.11 Problem

In previous versions of XRay ( version 39 was the last one I was using) I have been able to filter out Water and Lava, they are no longer in the list and do not appear in the list even when using xray and looking at the water or lava block. I was under the impression that if a block is not in the list, then looking at it while xray was enabled would add it. But that hasn't worked. I looked at the Configure Page and there is this "By default all blocks are rendered except for those on a built in blacklist of obvious blocks you don't want in XRay." Have lava and water been added to the blacklist? If so is there a way to change this? I often turn off water when looking for ore in the ocean and lakes, I have also used it to locate things inside Ocean Monuments before diving in, and I have occasionally needed to disable lava. It worked perfectly with 1.10. I am running Minecraft 1.11 with the current Liteloader and Voxel Maps other than that I have no other mods.

I love your XRay Mod and have used it for 2 years now, but I would appreciate any help you can offer in adding back these blocks to the list, even if have to edit a file, I wouldn't mind.

Looks like this is a bug present in the 1.11 version. I'll try to put an update out in a couple of days as tomorrow is Thanksgiving.

Thanks Nagapito, I tried installing x-ray on another (Linux) computer with Java v. 1.8.0 77, - crash.

As others have said, I believe it may be due to you using OpenJDK or an older version of Java. Nonetheless, I want my mod to be backwards compatible with previous versions of Java and OpenJDK. I believe I have fixed this in version 45. Can you download that version and see if it's fixed?
