They can copyright anything they please, actually. In answer to the question, we have some sounds ripped from Mechwarrior 2 and 3, some I ripped (and edited) from other games (for example: Empire Earth II), and I may make some other ones.
I present a certain portion of my paystub as indication as to our progress:
Keep in mind "Year to date" spans from early May onward.
Also, Waddles temporarily (I hope) left, I only recently heard from Kielaran, and everyone else appears to be MIA. If I ever find the time, I promise I will release an alpha build (which will likely be extremely glitchy) for you guys to play with.
Cheers!

That's actually a little fancy for minecraft, but there will be a HUD. It will probably look more like this:

I use TextEdit - the mac version of notepad.
anyway, that file is FlansMod.cfg in the config folder.
Try this site:

So I'm not the only one...
For some reason, when I was going to report the issue by making a short video, I just hopped in a plane in creative and it didn't happen. Then I remembered a pattern:
Maps.
Every time this has happened to me, I was using a map in the world. Therefore, I believe that if you stay away from maps, the issue will disappear.
I would also suggest a parachute mod, since you may get bumped out of your plane if you fly outside of the loaded chunk boundary (since that seems to trigger it, too. I suggest jumping in creative and flying all around your world for some distance, or playing a prebuilt map, such as Tropica Islands or Elderia Islands.)

It's a nice story, one that fails to connect with actual historical fact. There really is no evidence that the Egyptians ever systematically enslaved an entire culture, and there's certainly no evidence of the terrible plagues and exodus of such a set of slaves. Let's also not forget that it was the Egypitian people who suffered as a result of the Pharaoh's stubborness (stubborness that God himself facilitated, to continue to have an excuse to show off his power). This is not the act of a just being.
-Man, I really wish I had my study aids with me. If I'm not mistaken, Jacob was led to Egypt to avoid a massive war in the promised land (which he likely wouldn't have survived). When the enslaving occurred (which I cannot confirm outside the scriptures without a reference), the war was winding down. Effectively, God was telling the people it was time to leave.
Since Pharoh heart was hardened, God was able to demonstrate all of his miracles and wonders to effectively prove that He was God to both the Egyptians and the Israelites!
If the laws are abusive, then yes.
-But the laws were very specific. God wanted his people "Set apart" from the rest of the world. Since Christ had not atoned for all sins as of yet, this was their best bet. Better a rough road than no road!
The fact that you freely admit this and still want to defend this being makes this all kinds of sad.
-First, you took that out of context. Second, this was likely a test for Moses. Third, This was also after God had practically unveiled his glory for the Israelites, and they failed to believe in him!
Except they were often commanded to slaughter entire cities. Defending yourself from an attacker means taking out their ability to make war, not slaughtering non-combatants. Genocide in "self defense" is still genocide, and not legitimate self defense.
-Yes, they were, because God wanted to show the Israelites what would become of them if they turned from him.
Except substitutionary atonement is a ridiculous idea. If a man murdered your family and was sentenced to death, but another man who was innocent elected to take his place, and the murderer was set free, would you feel justice has been done? This idea that Christ died for our sins betrays a primitive and backward view of justice, whereby justice can be served so long as the pendulum of suffering remains balanced. As long as someone suffers the consequences, all is well. And, that somehow, the suffering of an innocent man is worth several orders of magnitude more than the suffering of ordinary people for this purpose. It's a bizarre and idiotic kind of moral calculus that no modern culture today would find value in.
- That would be true, provided the innocent man was forced to take the punishment. Christ did this voluntarily. Imagine that a son had committed murder. If the father took the punishment for the son, as an act of undying devotion, wouldn't this have a profound impact on the son? And not only that, the entire courtroom?
EDIT:
"It's the whole "god's chosen people" thing. What makes them special? They're just flesh and blood like anyone else for all I care."
This is why: In Genesis 12, God came to Abram and told him to follow Him. If Abram hadn't done so, someone else would have gotten the task. However, Abram said "yes". Therefore, God promised him that he would make him into a mighty nation, and that his descendants would be as numerous as the sands on the seashore.

The battlefields of the future are dominated by huge robotic war machines, known as BattleMechs.
Piloting these awesome weapons of war are men and women, the elite of the elite, knowing that each battle could be their last.
They are
MechWarriors.
Okay, this is starting to get annoying:
There is no download yet!
We are working to rectify that situation.
What MineCraft player hasn't wanted to get revenge on a Creeper or griefer for destroying his or her house? Do Diamond Swords or TNT just not cut it when it comes to revenge? Well, if that describes you, look no further!
This mod is based off of BattleTech, and allows you to pilot canon BattleTech 'mechs. These 'mechs actually fire, allowing you to blow the crap out of creepers, griefers, and friends (equipped with their own, naturally!) alike!
One final note: This is not a Gundam mod. This is a BattleTech mod. All Gundam suggestions (which we have been getting a lot of lately) will be ignored.
The Succession Wars (Alpha)
Updates!
Okay, I owe you guys a bit of an apology:
I know I've thrown out some arbitrary alpha release dates that never happened. Truth is, I've had a lot of false starts and setbacks. I am sorry that I did this, and if I led to any disappointment.
Therefore, the current release date is: I have no idea.
However, do not think this mod is dead, by any means! The mod is under active development, and hopefully we will have some awesome news soon!
If you can code, or contribute in any way, please let me know!

Current (Alpha) 'Mech Lineup:
Firefly
Until the arrival of Wolf's Dragoons, the Firefly was a 'Mech thought to be extinct from the rigors of the Succession Wars. The Firefly is a well-armed recon 'Mech that tips the scales at thirty tons. Since it was reintroduced to the Inner Sphere, the 'Mech has been refitted by the Wolf's Dragoons with Star League technology. It has a maximum ground speed of 86.4 km/h and can jump up to one hundred and twenty meters. As a scout 'Mech, the Firefly gives average performance with its energy weapon-heavy arsenal and is useful in both a recon and in a guerilla fighter role.
Hunchback
Originally conceived in 2572 as a Reunification War-era street fighter, the Hunchback is well-known as an urban combat BattleMech built for close range combat. Since then, the Hunchback has been in near-continuous production. The only real flaw in the Hunchback's design as a city fighter is its lack of jump jets combined with its relatively slow ground speed of only 64.8 km/h. Aside from this flaw, the design is a respected and dangerous 'Mech when in a city environment. When in the open, though, the Hunchback's lack of any long-range weapons makes it little more than a slow-moving target.
Catapult
The Catapult was designed as a long range fire support 'Mech built for the Star League as part of a limited two-year contract starting in 2561. Being a fire support 'Mech, the Catapult is not as fast as other 'Mechs of similar weight. This is because the Catapult is designed to stay at the edge of the battlefield providing fire support for friendly units. The one upper hand that this 'Mech does hold is in maneuverability with a jumping distance of one hundred and twenty meters to allow the Catapult to easily seize the high ground to give it an advantageous position for fire support operations. The Catapult is heavily used by the Capellan Confederation, although it is found in other Great House armies in smaller numbers.
Atlas
The Atlas was probably the best-known 'Mech to set foot on the modern battlefield. The Atlas was designed with specifications from Aleksandr Kerensky in 2755 in the midst of the Cameron Edicts. The Atlas was originally intended to ensure SLDF superiority over the Star League member states. Though the inexorable arming of the Successor states continued, the Atlas proved itself to be everything General Kerensky requested, "a 'Mech as powerful as possible, as impenetrable as possible, and as ugly and foreboding as conceivable, so that fear itself will be our ally." With nineteen tons of Durallex Heavy Special armor, crippling firepower, and the foreboding skull shaped "Death's Head" cockpit/head assembly, the Atlas lived up to its reputation; the mere sight of an Atlas had been known to make even a veteran MechWarrior break out in a cold sweat.
'Mech Crafting
'Mech crafting is simple!
Simply open up the GUI on the 'mechbuilder, and select your 'mech! Resources are collected from your inventory. right click to deploy your 'mech.
Weapons and systems have the complicated recipes. they aren't cheap, either.
{Recipes will come once they are finalized}
luckily ammo isn't too expensive.

I got forge working! Now it's just a matter of getting all of the sprites together, finalizing models, and coding the whole shebang!
I plan to work on this every day starting today until it is finished. I am not releasing an end date, because I have no freaking clue how long it is going to take. My goal is this:
Make the alpha code as rock solid as obsidian.
This has been your battletech news flash. Please tune in next time for tips on how to equip your 'mechs.

I'd add either an agressive mob that you could get meat from, such as a bear (giving hunting more of a use, and it would be more fun), or some sort of flying mob, like maybe crows (that eat your crops) or eagles, or something.
As for biome, I liked what lilwayne98723 said about the snow-peaked mountains. I would also like to see some shoreline cliffs.
