I do love this mod, and found a copy of the 1.8 version to use when the other mods I have update, I do hope 10paktimbits, that you will continue to do updates for the new versions of Minecraft, and while new content is always appreciated, it's not a deal breaker as the mod has plenty of content already.

I also know the need to step back and recharge the batteries so to speak. I myself was working so hard last year I fell asleep behind the wheel and wrecked my car. Fortunately no one, including myself was injured but it does make one re-evaluate one's priorities. One of the things I do to relax is play Minecraft, and yes I too was upset about the purchase by Microsoft. But so far Microsoft has been a silent owner, the modder's still mod, and the Youtubers still post and everything seems to be running as if the change in ownership never happened, much like business in Hong Kong. That said the situation you found yourself in seems to be related to Curse support staff, not Mojang who contracts with Curse for forum support or Microsoft, (Microsoft is notorious for bad customer support)

So relax, find another site for the wiki and make the mod to please yourself, it will be better for it. And try to ignore the idiot trolls out there.

Thanks again for letting us play with your fantastic mod.

I like this mod a lot, thanks for making it. I did encounter a problem however, I cannot craft the vanilla button from vanilla stone with the mod installed. It shows up under NEI but I have to cheat it in. had to restart a world because I discovered this when trying to make the vanilla button to use with Mr Crayfish's furniture mod under survival and did not start that world with cheats. Other wise the mod works great and I'm looking forward to the 1.8 version.

Have you considered doing a version for "Terrafirmacraft" ? They are badly in need of armour stands for one thing. The mod has 17 different types of trees to work with but cannot use vanilla slabs in crafting due to the way it creates slabs in the mod. You could substitute TFC planks for wood slabs and either polished stone blocks or raw stone blocks for stone slabs. I love TFC but there are so few compatable mods that will work with it, and yours seems to be a natural for a complimentry mod.

Don't care for the new Mobs myself, I would like to see more done with the ocean though, Coral reefs, kelp farming, Sunken treasure ships instead of temples, New water mobs like rays and jellyfish, and I think hostile oversized crabs or giant eels would be better then this. Since they are already working with Dr Zark for his horses they should ask him for help. Pirana in the rivers... Sharks in the ocean...those are hostile water mobs. And anyone that has played with his mo' creatures mod knows that crocodile's are not to be triffeled with... they grab you and drag you to the water to drown you. On the other hand an underwater village with sea horse variants of the villigers would be funny and cool.

Restone devices often have to be small enough to fit between existing structures or terrain features. I think owing to the fact that they are usually an afterthought or because aesthetics take a higher priority than making room for bulky redstone devices.

I have a pretty good system for controlling redstone junctions. Only 3 bits are needed to define all possible junctions. Anyway, it's pretty simple. First, redstone automatically forms a junction with the previous block you placed, assuming they are right next to each other. In order to create new junctions, or destroy them, equip some kind of a wand. With the wand, left click on one block, right click on an adjacent block, and bam, you've just created/removed a junction between them. That's it., now you can have redstone wires that are directly adjacent without necessarily connecting, and can create vertical circuits as well.

That would require a lot of programing with all the different blocks, not to mention how would you trouble shoot your circuit design? No it would be easier if they took another cue from the modders and made it possible to craft redstone and iron to form wire that could be run right up the wall or over the ceiling. Side by side wires? provide a way to insulate the wire like colored wool or add a new resource like rubber also dyeable.

It is about time they get smarter. Those villagers have a whole city on my server and instead of walking around and using the houses they all go in 1 house in a corner of my village leaving the rest of the village behind as a ghost city

That has a lot to do with what constitutes a "village" in the program code, and how you built the city. I had the same problem with a village I converted to medieval houses where the villagers migrated to the last built area and abandoned the rest of town, villagers recognise doors as part of the village boundry which is only 32 blocks each direction from center, "usually the well" on spawning the village. just remove the doors from the outside edges of the build slowly till you get them to move to the center, then add doors evenly to all sides of the center to keep them there. :steve_csi:

Okay, new stone, nice... but why does it have to be in ugly splotches? Why can't the terrain generator randomly select a base material from the types of stone (per biome) and generate all of its stone in a biome as that material?

I agree, the base stone should be biome dependant and/or level dependant. That is to say a layer of different stone running through the biome at a variable depth.. this is already in the code for layering the clay mesa biomes and just needs to be tweeked for stone.

Just think of digging down and finding a layer of different rock, and how awesome chasms would look!

Also I think Mojang should ask the good folkes at Terrafirma craft if they can use their wonderfull stone textures. Maybe even some of their trees, (I'm all for new blocks that add to the looks of builds but don't change gameplay) and all stones should craft the same way, smelt cobble (any stone) for the smooth version and 2x2 for large brick and 3 in a row for polished stone. I would even suggest 4x4 smooth sandstone become large sandstone brick.

I'm getting the same errors, after about 5 minutes game time the server lags then the error.. I'm running vista on 32 bit and the server is 1.7. never had the problem before the server updated and 1.7 seems to run fine in single player.

New Acacia wood and saplings for the new trees... just awesome... have to see if there is any differance between the dark oak and spruce planks and stairs... they may have to work on the color some. say a lighter shade for the dark oak, that would give us 6 different shades of wood to work with.. Happy Happy Joy Joy.. :steve_shocked: :D

What proof do you have to back this claim up?

No screeshots (did not think to take any at the time), but I did run across one on a vanilla 1.5.2 server a long while back. It measured 6x4 in the portal field and was used as the spawn portal in a nether hub, someone else must remember it as it was on a server. I also remember seeing a larger portal in a youtube video but that may have been using mods. I never tried to build a larger one myself and fooling around in creative just now was not able to duplicate it so you're right, There might have been a trick to constructing the one I saw or it was a bug exploit that was either fixed or I'm not smart enough to find... and now it's a feature. My bad.

So far I have found that you can make different size nether portals and that is it, The new stuff seems a lot less apparent this time.

Not new, you could make larger portals than the 3X2 opening in earlier versions. back to at least 1.5.2

posted a message on 13w36a Snapshot Ready for Testing!
After flying around in creative for several hours in 4 different test worlds I have observed the following.

New biomes, I like them and the changes to the swamp biome.. its somehow swampier, however the "roofed forest" biome generates far more often then the standard forest. On several world gens I had to search for more than 10 min in creative before I found a chicken and 20 minutes before I found a single stand of suger cane. I don't think they are spawning in the new biomes. Also I had not found a village in any of the new biomes, has anyone found a village in one? If not it might be a bug.

As a side note; Anyone running a new server will run into trouble with the new biome distribution as players will be forced to explore way beyond normal ranges for things that used to be closer to spawn. I spawned in a plains biome and after an hour of flying gave up trying to find a desert or jungle biome. This situation will create huge loads on servers and reduce the possiblity of unexplored areas in which to find things added in future updates. This needs to be adjusted to smaller clusters of biomes to bring them closer.

In addition temples are currently only in desert and jungle biomes, given the new biome distribution, additional temples should be added, perhaps one for the spooky "roofed forest" biome in the form of an old keep (hint hint).

The new flowers, fishing additions and enchantments are a wonderfull addition and I love em, just wish a new plant or two had been added to the desert biome as well. And if your adding a new tree (Acacia) go all out with new textures for the trunk, leaves, planks, stairs, slabs and saplings please.

One last thing, I did not find any sign of the baked clay painted mesa biome that was hinted at, but when its added could you make baked clay blocks re-dyeable?

posted a message on Jammy's Furniture Mod conflicting with another mod?
Jammy's mod use's fixed block ID's in it's config file before 1.6.2 and is not seem to be compatable with forge mods that load before it.
Try loading the mod before the others and that should fix it unless another mod does not use forge's internal ID resolver
