i am still experiencing the same problem. i have re-uploaded several archives, exactly as instructed in the OP's last message, all using the latest craftbukkit/minecraft & deleting the old archive first. It has only been successful once, all other uploads have failed, even though they have come from an archive prepared in exactly the same manner.
please help us :sad.gif:
My users have been getting this as well. Doesn't seem to be a problem with the render, but actually a problem with distributing the render to the map viewer. Somedays it works, some days it doesn't.

One thing I'd love to see, though, is the ability to disable people from downloading the map. I love how fast the map works on your website, but I'd also like to keep the world as private as possible. :smile.gif:
Also, maybe post the optimal image size for the display picture? It would make creating a properly-sized image much easier.
Feb 16, 2011Has anyone tinkered with this to get it working in multiplayer? I don't mind if both the client AND server need a version installed, as I run a closed-server with a small group of people, but having extra creatures would be awesome.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Jan 13, 2011Just wanted to say congrats to Scaevolus for getting some of his efficient code put into Minecraft's official release today!Posted in: Mods Discussion
Scaevolus, was it this Region code that was used, or some other variant of code you've produced?
Jan 6, 2011If you haven't seen MCRegion yet, you need to check it out ASAP. Anyone playing on a laptop will notice a significant improvement. If you're already running the game perfectly, it likely won't change too much.Posted in: Survival Mode
Basically it fixes the save-file sizes so that it's more compatible with the way harddrives save data. And we're talking HUGE performance increases here.
It's a mod, and as such, gets outdated with each patch. We need to push this to Mojang so they can implement it on their end and make a significant improvement to the game for everyone!
Here's the MCRegion post by Scaevolus:
And here's the GetSatisfaction topic to get Notch's attention (as this is where he wants all of the bugs/suggestions/praise/reports to go anyways):
Please go to the GetSatisfaction page and Star it up so that we can get this added.
Jan 4, 2011You've probably already done this (or at least thought of it), but I couldn't seem to find it anywhere.Posted in: Mods Discussion
I've made a topic on GetSatisfaction in hopes that Notch will see it.
No worries, though, Scaevolus! I gave you all the credit and copied your posting about the Regional file format. If you need me to change something, just toss me a PM on here. :smile.gif:

If everyone adds their weight to the topic, it's far more likely that Notch will see it!
Dec 20, 2010Just press the F key and shut off fog. Your game will resume running at ultra-high settings (at least from what I read it would).Posted in: Survival Mode
I'm still convinced there's a huge bug with lighting that still hasn't been fixed. I find the game lags a LOT at night where there are several light sources, and as soon as the sun comes out, it's perfectly lagless.
Dec 20, 2010That's odd...Posted in: Alpha - Survival Multiplayer Support
I've been landscaping a city for the last two days on our server, and the number of sheep, cows, and chickens is incomprehensible (as well as monsters outside of the city walls). Must be a setting on your server, or one of the files is messed up. Maybe re-extract/build the server files (saving your worlds, of course)?
Otherwise, I have no idea. We run vanilla, though, so maybe it's one of the mods you have that's acting up.
Dec 17, 2010Yeah, we were constantly having spiders (and only spiders, no other mob types) spawning in our fortress. I had to add lights partway between the ceilings.Posted in: Alpha - Survival Multiplayer Support
My only guess was that it was spawning a 1-block high monster in the air between the light source and the ceiling. Adding more lights seemed to stop the random spawning, though.
Dec 17, 2010Yeah, I get this periodically when I'm mining. It's almost as though it doesn't exist from all but one or two faces. I find if I back up, move so that I see it at an angle (thus, I can see the front and side), and then hit the side at the far edge, it usually works. Not sure why it happens, but it's quite annoying.Posted in: Alpha - Survival Multiplayer Support
Dec 17, 2010Do you have the 64-bit Java installed? I know I had to hunt for it. Had to go to the Java site with IE 64-bit, otherwise it wouldn't give me the right files... And without 64-bit Java, I crashed constantly. Maybe it's the same thing? :/Posted in: Alpha - Survival Multiplayer Support
