So.. I started work on this a few days ago, and I managed to do this:
That's the whole input right there. But the thing I want to ask is, how would I go about connecting it to a screen? The idea I have in my head is that it'll start from the very left of the screen and work its way right. So memory latches for each light, and switching to the next slot on the screen. And a reset button.
Unfortunately, the mob trap is looking like Swiss cheese thanks to the Enderbuggers. Will have to wait til 1.9 goes live before I can tick off mob drops.
Just make the spawning room 2 high and put water or half slabs on top of the roof. No more Endermen.
1)IGN(In Game Name): Aeruner
2)Age: 15
3)Do you have Skype?: Yes, but I don't have a good mic, so the chat will probably be the only thing I regularly use.
4)Did you download Spoutcraft?: Yes, just now.
5)What makes you more qualified then the person above/below you?: I guess I can say I'm a moderately experienced redstoner. I'm not saying I'm particularly good at it, I just mean I'm a bit better than the average player.
6)Are you willing to be dedicated to this?: Yes.
7)What timezone are you in?: GMT +9 I think. Might change soon.
8)Extra Info: Not much else to say.
9)Do you have any pictures of past work?: No. I always beat myself up for not taking screenshots of cool stuff.
Played and finished it. I've got to say, this was one of the best and most infuriating parkour maps out there. Great job man. Oh yeah, and I didn't cheat. Not even once. Bow before my awesomeness.
Suggestion: could you possibly make them break through blocks to get to you? I mean, in Doctor Who, they showed that they had the strength to bust through spaceships. Maybe you could set it so that they only do it on Hard, too. And since they get stronger as they feed off energy, maybe you could make them break down glowstone and eat the dust and power themselves up. Oh, just had a thought. How about this? They can bust through blocks only after they eat glowstone. That would be cool. Also, love the mod, keep up the good work!
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. Starting now. Will update as I go on.
1. I messed around for about 5 minutes on the tree, then almost cheated but spotted the ladders. Me so smart. Waiting for night. *whistles*
2. Missed a ladder jump. "Oh ok, it's not that far anyway". 'Your home bed was either missing or obstructed'. UNGH
3. I seem to have learned nothing from tetrix's maps.
4. I can't take this any more. I'll try again tomorrow when I'm not enraged as much.
The lever on the left connects to three pistons that suffocate all the chickens collected inside. The right one leads to this:
An AND gate with the lever wire from before connected to one input and a clock on the other.
And when the chickens spawn, the water pushes them into the little hole. It doesn't show up in this image, but I made it so it's just enough for the water to not actually go INTO the hole. As for the grass, I remember hearing somewhere that eggs have a higher chance to spawn a chicken when thrown on grass. Might have just been a rumor though.
And finally, a place to sit in while you wait for eggs, or even just to go AFK while getting something to eat.
EDIT: Oh wow. Didn't notice CyanSlushy's post up there. His design looks much better :\
Though you might want to add a couple more rows of pistons if you intend on copying it.
Has Charlotte died once? If so, she'll never spawn again unless you delete a file called Charlotte.<file type that I forgot about>. If she's never spawned at all, there's something wrong.

That's it! If I missed anything, feel free to tell me and I'll add it to the list.

A block powered by a redstone torch will power dust, repeaters, and other torches.
A block powered by dust will power repeaters and torches, but not dust.
A block powered by a repeater has the same properties as one powered by a torch.

GASP! The great seronis refused to read the title of the topic and didn't add punctuation at the end!
