(You can just right click on the Snapshot game on the left side of the Curse Client and click 'Open Game Folder')

As far as backing up goes. We keep your snapshot and your main Minecraft completely separate, so you don't need to backup anything.

If you want to play a world from your main Minecraft in your snapshot, just click Copy Worlds over.

Oh, you are using the Test Curse Client. It probably doesn't have the latest snapshots.

Uninstall that and make sure you have the live one from curse.com/client.

Curse is run by gamers, for gamers. We exist to bring gamers together, we couldn't do that if we were unethical.

They only run contests in countries where they have an international headquarters. Being a global country with a HQ in that country allows them to operate under the legal umbrellas of that country.

Curse is a US company so those same foreign(to us) countries impose additional fees and legal hoops to jump through, which is what I was referring to in the rest of that post you quoted.
