It sucks that your starting a new map before finishing this map, but I understand you want to add stuff to a map, that you cant do in this map. Hopefully your new map won't take as long as this one did. Good luck and I can't wait until the map is finished!
Btw, if I'm supporting this map currently, would you prefer that I switch my banner to your new map? I really like the ideas of making a pokemon map in minecraft, but I've yet to see a completed one.
I might add small updates like updating the hall of fame or filling in the hole you mentioned before. Where did you say it was again? The redstone is visible but moving it would be a hassle How important is it to you if a map has somewhat visible redstone?
Next update will probably include bug fixes and celadon city in mid june.
There is some visible redstone behind the starting house. It's not a huge deal, but if you want to have anywhere near a "neat" map, you need to fix that. Where it does matter, is like in front of cherrygrove city (I think), there is a whole that you can fall into. You would fall into the redstone.

I think I could help you do some small things with the map. Better redstone funtionality, better town checkpoints, working HMs, key items that open doors, better mechanics, like clearing all of the items out of the other chests after you pick a starter, etc. I can't do tons, but if you want some assistance or pointers, let me know over PM.
He wants the starter items to stay so other people can play. And he's still working on the map, the stuff you said will be added eventually.
i will be looking at this map and terraform it after i am done. it think it will be easier since i'm not exactly sure what the map, town, city, or routes will look like. also note that once i terraform both kanto and johto, the map will be even more laggy for those with low end computers.
i was going to add random wild battles but they started to prove glitchy and hard to manage. if i did add the random wild battles, the map would get a little laggier. i cant tell if the map is getting laggy since i still maintain a constant 30 fps with everything maxed, fullscreen/shaders.
do you have suggestions for anything? i was thinking about trainer battles but i dont know if that might get redundant and boring. i will defintely add a way to "fly" (teleport) in pokemon centers after you obtain HM fly and the correct badge.
also i plan on making HM's actually do something other than take up inventory space. *cough* HM flash *cough*
but i will probably have to leave that for summer since i probably have to study for ap exams next week. at least the four elite is done before i go on my 2 month hiatus!

This may be a hard question, because the answer might be something you haven't thought of, or isn't in minecraft yet, but is there anything that you know of that you're going to add to this map, as far as gameplay? (Not new areas, Something that'll make the map quality better.)
Also a suggestion, I think you should make the walls that block you from getting out of the map look more natural. Like make a huge landform or something around the whole map. Something to make it so you cant see the super flatworld. By the way, this seems to mostly be a problem where you can see past the bottom of trees.

something must be wrong for you. The red is supposed to circle around the M, and then you can download it. Not sure whats wrong, it works for me.

In case you don't want to watch it, the best way to have a proximity detector, with the least lag, is with spawners, rather than testfor commands
