posted a message on The City of Deserton

After a while now, I finally got back to work on Deserton. I've constructed the Xention Space. As always, let me know what you think so I can make Deserton even better.

Progress on Erinion Tower, the tallest of them all.

posted a message on New Modern Bridge!

Reminds me of a bridge in Boston! A lot of massive suspension bridges have lights to illuminate the bridge like the New Bay Bridge in San Francisco, so maybe try that too. Putting the lighting behind a half slab can make a really nice lighting effect that would really benefit the modern style.

Note: I'm a Java edition player and by the looks of it you're using PE/Win10 Edition, so I'm not entirely sure about everything. But my best guess is maybe something in your settings is preventing it?

Sure thing! Here are some screenshots:

Although that isn't all that's in my world. Deserton is part of a much larger area ruled by the Elanor Dynasty. The other parts are Cambridge (a residential area to the bottom left of the aerial view), Xinping (which is in the jungle but yet to be built due to my laziness), and the dynasty's allies which are Floatington, Artenagon, and Islium Beach (all on above, on, or next to the Southern Ocean). Yet there is also several other areas too, which may be close to but not allied to the Elanors.

Again, you blow my mind with realism. But seriously though, how much is Alaryen City spending on infrastructure projects? Are they the next Dubai or something? ;)

By 25 people or not, it is still pretty huge. My world is kinda big (the file size is half a gigabyte), but compared to that one the main city center in tiny. My main modern city has been built on and off for five years, but the whole city (Deserton) is only a couple city blocks wide and there are only ~7 buildings. Although it could be because I'm very lazy. To the extent that only one of the buildings are complete. *Derp face*

Thanks! although having the grass at the same level as the ceiling proved some challenges for the interior. But here's what I got so far:

Honestly, I think it looks great. In the city I'm building, there are many things I've built up until 5 years ago which don't look good at all, but I completed a lot of them and kept them as historic monuments. Why not give that path a go?

posted a message on Fantasy medieval wizards house (WIP)

Really like the use of the stained glass. Maybe try mixing in other stony textures to add a bit of variety. I'm not really in the whole build team side of things (since I prefer singleplayer), so best of luck trying to join one!

posted a message on Any nice way to blend these stairs?

Maybe you could have a small transition floor, with the straight stairs coming from on side and the diagonal stairs on the other. Or maybe you could carry the concept on by just building a new floor, like a storage area. To do this you'd probably have to move one of stairs back a few blocks.

posted a message on Darlington City-Medieval project (New update 20.4.2017-Castle of Darlington sneakpeak)

Once again, it looks amazing! But maybe try putting some vendors in the middle of the square? That would add a nice touch.
