Amusing post to read, but in truth they are the ones to write their own doomed fate.
I tend to let the hands of fate do its thing, but sometimes the hands of fate must be forced.
None can blame no one, they are unto responsible for what is happening now, as Dominic said, Hive Minded.
This, this Fandom of people who are called Bronies, think and act like a bee hive. Unto which more then one queen, famous people direct the drones and lessers every actions. The show itself being the master queen to the lesser queens.
This is how I see it, and nothing will change that.
The warnings long have been given, but now the sacrafices are being made.
5 days from now, all will see what level of fan service has been packed into the first episode. Many fear it will be full and thus the show once enjoyed, destroyed from original creation.
I see we are discussing the nature of a brony. Rant incoming.
'">To me, a "brony" is simply a fan of MLP that it outside it's normal demographic.
Yes, there are some good bronies, and some bad bronies, and some baggage associated with the term, but I am a brony, through and through.
A lot of people say, when they see some of the more "out there" bronies, "I am not a brony. I like the show, but I am not one of..them."
The way I see it, though, it's like being an American.
When I moved to Australia, I was honestly surprised at the amount of hatred towards Americans. I thought we would be buddies. We fought the Japanese together in WW2 and everything! But, they all thought the same thing about America. This was proven during English class, when my teacher asked the class to write down what they thought of Americans.
They all said the same things.
"Redneck
Bible-Thumper
Fat
McDonald's
Guns
Stupid
Obnoxious"
...the list goes on.
The whole time, I'm thinking, "What are these guys smoking? Yeah, some Americans are like that, but not ALL of them. What kind of stupid country lands on the moon with tech less complex than a cell phone and is home to Silicon Valley, the tech capital of the world? What kind of bible-thumping country houses a large portion of the world's atheists? What kind of redneck country has one of the largest, most modern cities on Earth?"
The worst part was that they were no better. Everyone in my school thinks America has 52 states. (The correct number is 50.) They all knew jack about Geography, and were more blindly patriotic to their own country than many Americans are to theirs.
I realized something that day. Yeah, many Americans are like that. Yeah, America isn't the greatest country on Earth. Yeah, America was the reason the world economy crashed. Yeah, America went to war when it didn't have to. Yeah, America has done some bad things that I'm not proud of.
But I'm not about to give up my American citizenship anytime soon.
What does this have to do with Bronies?
The way I see it, it's the same thing with bronies. Yeah, some bronies are "autistic" manchildren, who roam the streets singing at the top of their lungs, and are generally annoying idiots.
But that doesn't mean you should stop being a brony.
I seem to be in a very ranty mood today. Sorry.
There were a LOT of swears in the original post, and they have all been filtered out. Am I gonna get an infraction or something?
So a little girl read Cupcakes, huh?
Well, it was bound to happen sometimes. I don't even know how she managed to read it, the only links to the fic give you plenty of warning beforehand.
It's her and her parent's fault (yes, single parent, only one went on the radio show), not ours. If the parent doesn't want her kid to be reading that kind of stuff, then she should be monitoring the internet.
It's like with M rated games, how people are always saying "KIDS SHOULDN'T BE PLAYING THIS THEY ARE TOO VIOLENT!!1". Well, if you don't want your kid playing it, then DON'T LET HIM. You're a parent, do your job and don't let your kid go on sites like that.
Hell, if I was 11 and I read Cupcakes, I wouldn't really care. I'd be scared for a while, and freaked out for the rest of the week, sure, but in the end I would build a bridge and get over it, just like that girl.
Remember guys, it is RIDICULOUSLY easy to get mentally scarred for like on the internet as a kid while looking for innocent stuff. My first experiences with R34 came when I was around 11-12 and I was looking up things like Sonic the Hedgehog and Pokemon on Google.
The internet has always been a deathtrap for kids, and our contribution simply makes things slightly more gender-balanced.
He he, with that group I could guess you had a blast. What all did you do during that meet-up?
Mostly we roamed the mall and bought stuff. I got that action figure, as well as a Pinkie Pie doll and a copy of Banjo-Kazooie. There's gonna be another meetup next week for the premier of Season 2. It's gonna end up being as 2 AM, though, so I might not be able to go.

DING DONG THE PONY THREAD IS DEAD
Since season 3 sounds a bit disappointing, the spoiler talk was scaring off a few contributing members, and Rumblealex had a sweet drawing of Twilight with a bow that got me thinking and actually proposing a topic.
Are you joking? There's gonna be an episode where-
Oh wait.
Do you want spoilers, or not?
What in the holy mother of Celestia is going on here?
Talkin' bout horn swords and magic throwing knives and bows...
When exactly did this thread become about tabletop rpg's?

Episode 3
Title: Too Many Pinkie Pies
Air Date: November 17, 2012
Synopsis: Overwhelmed with having to choose just one friend to spend time with, Pinkie Pie uses a magic mirror to clone herself.
I don't think that my friends would accept me as a brony. I go to a religious school, so consequently, they're not very accepting of gay things. I'm pretty sure that they would think that MLP is incredibly gay, which is disappointing, but, meh. I wish I had a brony friend IRL
EDIT#2: Also, if I told them, at least one would spread it all around the school. Don't get me wrong. They're nice friends, just not very accepting.
EDIT: And, I hate it when people say that MLP is gay/pedo/whatever. Just saying.
You go to a religious school? I technically attend an anglican school, but 90% of the kids there are athiest, so whatever. In any case, I would recommend that, if they think you are gay, to carefully explain what exactly homosexuality is (being physically attracted to members of the same gender) and how watching ponies isn't gay (the cast is all female, for one thing.) Then again, they are apparently dumb enough to discriminate against gay people in the first place, so I don't think that's gonna work too well. Try telling one of your closest friends first, one that you think will understand.
1. Asgard's gone. Been gone for a while.
2. You forgot Nerevar, Jair (SSky), Dimondium, and probably some others I'm forgetting (I forget--Rumble, do you write fics as well?).
Is someone going to welcome me to the herd? I just recently became a brony literally five days ago, and I've forged through season one, and never been in higher spirits. Thank you, Twilight!

That is so awesome. I wish I could have game developers shower me with gifts in exchange for producing MLP fanworks.

You would be correct. I would know, as I am currently living in this horrible excuse for a country. (jks)
