Any word on the bug affecting Tumble game mode public lobbies for PS3? It makes all of the trophies in that Update pack unachievable and I'd like to earn my 100% since it is the last thing I need.
Checking multiple trophy tracking sites shows nobody has been able to earn any Expansion Pack 8 trophies since May 4, 2018.
So its a know 'feature' of the xbox one cloud save.
Is there anyway to recover from the corruption once is has happened. Is it a single world backup that has gone wrong so the other are recoverable? Are the other worlds recoverable full stop?
If this is a permanent method then what you are saying is that it is actually better for minecraft, to turn cloud saves off and save once a week or once a day. As being constantly on is just a risk of losing ALL ones work at any time there is a network interruption?
Could not the design of the saves be done in such a way that if one of the worlds is corrupt or not accessible then it skips to the next one so that it at least makes the 'copy world' function have a use?
What about having a feature where you can export the worlds to an external hard drive/USB flash drive. I appreciate that this is against Microsoft/Xbox poilcy to stop cheating/hacking of saves but 4J contract to Mojang who are owned by Microsoft and Minecraft is one of the biggest games there is. Surely there is some sway there. Also for Minecraft, modifications dont really matter, if anything on the PC there are encouraged.
Particarly if the requirement for this is the size of the backups....
Does this cloud save issue also effect the PS4? again due to size of backups?
Thanks.
Only the platform team could give you any information regarding the goings on with the cloud saving.
A few months ago my main XB minecraft account got corrupted and I have been unable to get to those worlds or get minecraft to work, apart from offline, for that account. Went through the various options with MS XB support who were instantly accessible and helpful, Tried another console, resetting console to factiry settings. Total full reset, Nothing changed the fact that the cloud save and hence the worlds was inaccessible. ONLY solution was to create a new XB account. This worked on the console, Sync'd fine. Create a new world and away I went again. Only a couple of buckets of tears for all the years of development lost.
Last night, game crashed. Stuck on save screen. 15 minutes later still on save screen. Reset the XB. On loading - unable to sync. In fact unable to do anything apart from get to the main menu of the game. So again with MS XB support. Tried all the various options and same result. I can play offline only.
From reading the above comments it looks like this is a serious weakness in the method of the clouding saving of the minecraft game. It seems to bundle all the saves into a single entity which if corrupted stops the entire cloud save system from being accessible.
Reading on the PS4 boards it looks like there are similar instances there also so this is a game problem not a system problem.
I had made copies of my world under the same account on the theory that if one of them did get corrupted I could go back to a previous one but it seems the cloud save is an all or nothing system. I dont have any other games on this machine to know if it would have effected them. My feeling is no as this is a purely Minecraft thing.
So does anyone know of a solution. How can any of us get our old worlds back? Can other worlds, not just the presumably, corrupted one, be recovered? Are 4J working on developing cloud save to be more robust/user friendly so that we can see what is cloud backed up and idealy have versioning as an option so you could see or go back to previous versions?
Has anyone used a hard drive as a back up for their games on an XBOX one and if you do can you make copies there to recover from?
At the moment, I'm leaving the XB alone and am going to start another world on my PS4. See how far that gets me..however I read that they have had the same issues with cloud saves and loss of worlds.
This is a system issue - It's far more prevalent on Minecraft however due to the sheer size of the save files (As far as I'm aware no other game comes even remotely close to our saves)
The game makes a call for the Cloud save to occur and then the backend takes over.
I think there is a bug with zombie spawners not spawning any zombie villagers, is anyone else having problems with this??
Edit:
ive had zombie villagers spawning before these last two updates I believe and I've spawned well over 300 zombies without a single zombie villager, after the updates
1. there are some villagers which cannot be selected to see what they offer. they look like Blacksmiths and weaponsmiths, but when you try to click using L2 to bring up their menus, nothing happens. i've tried everything, even changing from peaceful to creative to easy and hard and nothing.
2. fishing is still broken and stuff drops constantly if the bob is cast close to you. this never used to happen until TU52 which broke fishing. even luck of the sea doesn't work well. i used to get a rare item with luck 3 only about every 10 fish. i can go 20 to 30 fish without getting anything but fish now, and bows and fishing rods drop even less. never used to have any problems with fishing until the TU52 update, which broke something that didn't need to be fixed.
3. i found a mansion today on an existing seed and when i went into the mansion, there was only normal mobs and no illagers at all anywhere. i found the mansion on peaceful but it was about 300 blocks away from me so i turned to easy and made my way there and nothing. they should have appeared and should be there but there was nothing at all. this needs to be fixed asap.
4. swinging a sword is even slower than it was before. i can be standing right in front of a mob swinging at it and it only hits the mob after 4 or 5 swings at this should be fixed to swing faster again, at the very least allow the efficiency enchantment to be compatible with swords.
1. The only Villagers that should have no interaction are the NitWits (Green Robed Villagers)
2. Do you have a video showing the fishing issue you are seeing?
In regards to the chance of items dropping that comes down to Luck - I've seen myself get 40/50 fish before getting anything worthwhile.
3. It's possible if it's on an older world that it may not be registering correctly as a Mansion - It's always been an issue with Biomes/structures getting a bit messed up from one Generation change to another (The latest patch made a number of changes on Sony platforms for Mansions)
4. I've Tested this on multiple platforms and cannot see any issue.
There 2 bugs I found on minecraft ps3 edition I was using the brewing stand to brew a weakness potion , I added a fermented spider eye to an awkward potion and it didn't start brewing , the second one is when i broke a dead bush and it dropped a wooden stick
Thank you for the followup, though UI was the last thing I would've thought when trying to narrow down a cause for this. Best of luck.
The entire issue boils down to the amount of Memory we have available.
The UI tool we use on all platforms (Excluding 360) drains a massive amount of memory - It's only really apparent on PS3 however.
A few members of the team have spent the past 4-6 months writing a custom UI that massively decreases the amount of memory used when it comes to drawing our UI scenes.

Working as intended.

If possible could you copy the world to a USB and upload it to Mediafire so we can take a look?

Next Bugfix (Coming shortly) will fix this issue.

Do you have the seed?

Could you list the DLC that displays as being owned in the Minecraft Store.
And list which packs have shown as locked out of that list.
You mentioned getting access to the Fallout pack, did you download this from the store at some point?
Are you on a Bluray or Digital version of the game?
Which region are you in? (EU, NA, JP)
Most recent DLC purchased?

Do the packs show as being owned in the Minecraft store?
When you try to access them via the minecraft store do they take you to the correct store page?

PS4 deals with saves differently to XB1.

Zombie villagers are no longer classified as "zombies" hence why they don't spawn from Zombie spawners now.
This is a change taken directly from Java.

Not a bug.

What do you mean enchantments are void?

Both working as intended.

The issue with the crashing Crafting table is entirely related to SD (480p/576p)
The offset cursor is also SD only.
We are looking to put out an emergency fix for this ASAP.
