For the forum post, put up some pictures, it's nice to see what the map looks like! (Also, I think it's actually in the rules to do so.)
I respect your decision to build entirely in vanilla; that's the way I want to make my maps. However, even if you give the player freedom to roam around, there are still ways to hide redstone machines. I guess you have to start somewhere, though.
I'd love to test it out if I can get some more of this info. Good luck!

before i get started im not keen with command blocks as im 11
"what happens when you give someone an amazing map idea. they spend a year working on it and never even finish half of it"
i am still working on this ive spent a year so far
the minecraft elements project is a survival/adventure/skyblock/udnerwater/404 combo
Story: the elements kept everything in place
until they vanished
then a old man said your ye choosen one so you decided to restore the elements
Features: a questing system a custom crafting system dungeons bosses 4 seperate islands that could be maps on there self
Currently in it: a partaly complete questing system almost complete custom crafting buggy deongens and bosses 1 of the 4 islands
things to note
im doing this to get feedback on my ideas in the map its far from completion
i already know that text moves to fast and the boss is overpowered
open walls most walls arent up for building purpuses so enjoy seeing the redstone
if anyone wants to help with the project im good with that as development is moving extremely slow as im doing completely vanilla no w/e or anything
so enjoy my concept of a map
