Me and my friend are trying to play Minecraft together like we were last week, but for some reason I can't connect to his LAN nor him to mine. One is a desktop one is a laptop both running on Windows 7, and ive gone through both and allowed minecraft through the firewall public and private, tried disabling the firewalls or editing them so it should allow others to connect, but so far none of it has made any difference. We both have the most recent minecraft update and the default program so I can't see what might be wrong other than the router(?) what do I need to do to fix this?
Yeah guess you'll have to make a minecraft *not LAN* but don't worry since your on the router you can run your minecraft server and everyone who's on the same network can join *without port forwarding* so it will run fine without any hard networking just get it off the site
