Wondering if anyone has noticed this. I have a server set up on my Xbox One playing the Better Together edition (not the Xbox One Edition). I have sugar cane set up on both sand and dirt/grass immediately next to water blocks.
I've been playing for at least 10 game days. I've been deep underground mining, working on ground level building my house and farm, and far away exploring maps in those 10 days.
My sugar cane is still only one block tall. Not growing.
Has anyone heard of a glitch with the sugar cane or is there somewhere i can report this?
If I had to guess the problem you're having is actually a problem with the bedrock version... Render distance has been changed to only how far things load visually. Other things like crops growing and even furnaces smelting only happen within a surprisingly short distance, like maybe 2 chunks, from the player. (A chunk being a 16x16 area.) For me, aside from all of the actual bugs that ruin the game, this is one of the biggest drawbacks of bedrock.
