I recently created a new world before the latest update, for all the fixes and stuff, and I'm unable to explore it now, it freezes every 3-5 minutes into gameplay and I tried resetting the xbox (after transfering my content) and that didn't work, redid the update, that still didn't work,
i already tried clearing the system cache, I might have to recreate the world, but really didnt' want too but there's really not much too lose anyways since i just started it.
Update; That didn't work, I re-created it today; and it still freezes; no matter if I recreate the "specific" seed or not; My step-brother plays on it with the large biome, and he doesn't lag at all, or freeze. But when I tried creating it with the small biome scale, it freezes and crashes my xbox, (recreated it) and 45 minutes into it, it froze.
Update: Apparently, from what I can learn about the "Freeze Issue" Regardless of the Seed; Minecraft Tends to freeze a-lot in Abandoned MineShafts that has Minecart Rails, and Spider Spawners. My other world I was just playing on for nearly 4 hours straight just froze in a mineshaft and everytime I go exploring in one, it tends to freeze regardless how many minutes I play on.
I too experienced this in a mine shaft every time I went near the same spider spawner. Made a new world and it's only done this a couple of times randomly. I set my auto-save to 15 minutes.
I've been trying to take out the mob spawners in the Mineshafts, i found 5 within 50 blocks of each other; this was on peaceful and it also tends to freeze when there is a-lot of action's going on at once.
Note to 4J Studio's - There should be a default setting to not allow mob spawners to be created that close to each other, but rather have them seperated far apart to it doesn't freeze up.
There is something wrong with the last update. I had a map that I was on for a couple of months but had to delete it. The spider spawners were in the mineshafts under the village and my auto farms. It kept freezing up. I could go anywhere else on map and not freeze up. Started a whole new map. I found a mineshaft near my village. Got near a spawner and it froze up. As long as you are about 20 blocks away in any direction you should be good. I did save game 20 blocks away then ran as fast as I could go and destoryed the cave spider spawner as it tried to freeze. Once cave spider spawner was gone I had no more problems in that area. So far its just cave spider spawner in the mine shaft, but have not seen any other spawners in mine shaft yet.
