As the title says, when I try to load up Minecraft Windows 10, for Oculus Rift, when it gets to the loading panorama, Minecraft will say "Launching" for about 5 seconds, then say "Failed to launch Minecraft" and crash itself.
Please help? I'd really like to play Minecraft in VR, this issue is beyond frustrating, and the fixes I've found so far have not fixed my issue.
I'm currently running on the 1.2 Beta and I'm not having any issues.
Let's start with the likely suspects. Make sure that your video drivers are up to date. Go to your card manufacturer's website and download the drivers from there and install them. Make sure that your Oculus software is up to date as well. Reboot your computer and try it again. Hopefully this will do the trick for you.
All of my drivers are up to date. Where do I obtain/enable the Beta 1.2?
You have to be 18 in order to join the beta. Download and install the Xbox Insider App from the Windows Store. Join the insider program and the Minecraft Beta should show up in the Xbox Insider app. Join the beta for it within the app and it will provide the link to the beta to download and install.
NOTE: People are having issues leaving the beta program to go back to the standard build. Only join the beta program if you are willing to accept that the beta build of Minecraft is buggy and can crash.
Is your Oculus Software directory on a different drive than your Windows / Minecraft drive? Ever since I moved all my Oculus software off my C: drive to my D: Minecraft VR won't launch.

Are you playing the current release or the 1.2 beta?
I'm currently on 1.15, the version available from the Windows store
