1. Get a texture pack
2. Open it up
3. Select all of the files in the texture pack after you have opened it.
4. right click on it and compress it.
5. keep that finder and open a new finder window
6. User>Library>ApplicationSupport>minecraft>Texturepacks
7. After you have opened all that up, drag and drop the zip file that you just got in the other finder from compressing the files into the texture pack folder.
8. Your Done!!!!!

What mac users dont have that button that you can press and it opens up the file were you put the texture packs?
sorry i didnt reply fast cuz i didnt check this psot for a long time but anyways, you go to User>Library>applicationsupport>Minecraft>texturepacks. then you use archive utility to make the texture pack into a folder then you drag it into the texturepack folder
HOW TO GET A TEXTURE PACK ON A MAC: (the easy way)

2. Open Finder.
3. Go to Library->Application Support->minecraft
4. Drag the texture pack folder into texturepacks.
5. X out of Finder and play MC.
6. Select the texture pack.
7. Enjoy!
i usually do it on a windows computer but just got a mac, but does the whole delet META IMF file still happen with macs?
It's said that you only need to delete the MANIFEST.* (or something) inside the META-INF folder on Macs, but I usually leave the whole folder in without any problems
