hey there, recently today i lost my entire minecraft saves folder (im on a mac) ive put a fair bit of effort into about 6 or 7 saves anyways i took my saves folder out of my mine craft folder because i needed to re-install it then afterwards placed MY saves over the old ones and as i clicked in there was nothing in there i was pretty disappointed to see all my work gone so i was hoping in all of your magic and witchcraft you may be able to help me in some way it would be greatly appreciated,

My worlds have disappeared, I am filling out the information on your website and made a zip file of the saves but I don't understand this (Link to your world zip (mediafire is preferred). Not sure how to do that. or can I send it to you in a email.

Well, i am making this server spawn map to upload to Planet minecraft... however, windows update it seems crashed my pc, so that i update when i turn it back on T_T
(i delayed it for a day, but my pc crashed after a couple hours, then begins updating)
anyway, its not showing up in the list.

my world has crouped chunks, and spawns me in water out in the middle of nowere, and the rest of the map wont load. I use a ramdisk for minecraft 1.6.2, and 1.7G of ram. plz help me, I WANT MY WORLD BACK!!!!!plz

I've sent yas about 3 messages with links ta my world fer fixin' purposes, each one being a good week or more apart from each other, but thus far, I ain't herd nothin' back from yas through my email at all yet.
My first message was sent out around the beginnin' of September, an' so.... since yer site says ta give ya a good 3-5 business days ta complete anythin', the time it's takin' yas ta even send me a status message is.... well.... concernin'....
So, what's goin' on right now? Is there some domestic problem that's haltin' yer services?
Some digital software complications mayhaps?
I'd just like ta know why ya seem ta have up an' disappeared from the internet altogether.

If only I had kept my "Gargamel" seed map around from Old Beta 1.3 one day the world lagged severely making gameplay impossible Had to give up my first major Minecraft world playing as a newbie

Hello, I couldn't access the website for some reason so I will post here.There is chunk that's missing in my world and it ate up part of a building. (The hole is around x 260 y 64 and z 111 if that is needed.) I can't enter the chunk and I tried reloading the world but it didn't work. I was wondering if you could look at my world it wont load all the map and it will just start making random huge holes in my structures and land i have 1.7.5 and i have tried mcedit only temporary fix

Hi, i am new to Minecraft - only been playing for 3 days. I tried clicking on your website but it's not working, i get an error message so i am posting here sorry.

I'm not sure what has happened but i was happily playing and logged out last night briefly then tried to log back in 10 minutes later and when i get to the building terrain screen it takes ages then just goes back to the screen where you select single player, multi player etc. I can't get back into my world.

The version i am playing is 1.7.9 in Survival

I don't know how to do that zip folder thingy though cause when i click on the link you posted it doesn't work. Are you able to give me instructions on how to do the zip folder please.

Also i saw you mentioned that you should back up your save - how do you do that?

Hi, I have a problem with my world, when I try to get in, not load properly and only appears the main menu of the game.

I don't think the OP is maintaining this thread anymore, based on the dates of the last few posts (back to last November on this page, out of 55 total).

However, we do have a current "official" corrupted save recovery thread here with people actively fixing broken saves, usually within a day.

Ritter you and Voordal are really appreciated. I personally haven't needed help, but I have recommended you guys a couple times.

I wonder if you guys could perhaps collaborate on a tutorial of steps you guys take and the tools you use to examine and fix a world? Not everything of course, but perhaps fixing some of the more common issues. You know the old saying 'Teach a man to fish and feed him for a life time'.
