EDIT: Resolved, needed to turn of my Geforce ingame overlay
Today I started up minecraft per usual and I can't get above 20 frames per second. I have looked at everything online and can't seem to find a fix. I'm using a Dell Inspiron 7559 w/ a 960M and 6700HQ @2.6 gHz. All of my other games run great. Here's a list of everything I've done so far, can anyone lend a hand?
-Restarted my computer
-Lowered all my ingame settings and turned off max fps
-Turned off my resource pack
-Used Optifine
-Made sure my laptop is using my gpu not integrated graphics
-Reinstalled my graphics drivers
-Reinstalled Java(64bit)
-Uninstalled Java entirely
-Reinstalling Minecraft
-Made sure there isn't a second version of javaw running
-Ran my game with integrated graphics to see if it's an issue with the gpu, but the integrated graphics is doing the same exact thing as the gpu. Normally my integrated would run better than this.

Thanks in advance!
how much ram did you allocate to minecraft? too much will hurt the performance
Disable GeForce experience overlay.
This did it! Thank you so much
I didn't change that at all, since it'd been working fine in the past. Turns out I needed to turn off the geforce ingame overlay, that did it.
Thank you for the response though! I greatly appreciate it
