Hello, this thing happened awhile back and I forget what I was trying to do do get it to happen, maybe trying to download something... Anyways I think its a virus but whenever I try to download a security program like mcafee there is an error that pops up saying an error occurred that prevented it from completing properly. Whenever I try to go to minecraft.net it brings this 4chan looking thing up called fatpeople.lol - I attached a photo.
I open up the minecraft launcher and where it usually says play it just says loading. I try to click edit profile and none of my versions show up, it's just a blank tab. So then I look at the launcher log and I immediately see this error - [21:34:18 ERROR]: Unexpected exception refreshing version list
java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError
I'm no genius with this kind of stuff so I can't figure it out, I attached photos of my full logs.
I did not know why you deleted my answer. Maybe it was because I posted some external links....
They are professional tools that recommended by friends, I just think that they are so useful so I save all their links. Anyway...I do not own anyone of them....
malwarebytes is your best bet. it does cost (extremely cheap) but you can get a free trial of the full version and keep using it as a trial version (you wont have hyper scan and a couple other features) but its still usable. as far as completely getting rid of the virus you can do it on your own. go into task manager and look for processes that you didn't install. right click them and press ":open file location", then end the process and delete the file. the files you are looking for would be in a file path that belongs to a program that you didn't install or a numerical key. if you cant open task manager "some viruses disable right click functions though regedit" run malware bytes and it should fit it. you browser being redirected and the fact that minecraft cant access its update server sounds like you have a proxy being used "incorrectly or from the virus" to fix that you need to disable proxy use in your firewall/internet setting.
