You can uninstall the older one by going into your control panel -> programs and features -> and uninstall your JRE. However, I am pretty sure that the installer for newer java versions uninstalls it automatically.
How am i to uninstall the old one? sorry a bit confused..:L
As the person above me has stated;
Usually, if an uninstallation of a previous version is required, you'll be notified in the current version's installer. If not, then the previous version will more than likely be overwritten. In short, just install the new version and don't worry about uninstalling the previous unless it's required.
It looks like the Toshiba C660 issue, not a Java problem.
If you have a Toshiba C660 you need to remove the AMD drivers as they are crashing minecraft.
One way to do this is to use the free version of: Driver Fusion
For the new Java problem try removing any Java files via JavaRa then start again with the x64 download.
