Hello, I seem to be having a major issue with Minecraft. Before I continue, I would like to notify you that I am not exactly well-informed when it comes to technology. Therefore, please try to be patient with me when/if you decide to help me out. When I play Minecraft, my screen starts to "tear" and I use that term loosely because I am not quite sure what it is doing. Of course I will provide pictures. At first my Minecraft starts out normal, but as I progress it starts to gradually get worse. Sometimes it gets so bad that my Minecraft exits me out and closes the window. This problem also happens, although less severely, on other computer games such as Star Wars: The Old Republic. So my question to you is. What is going on? Is it my computer? Do I need to adjust something? Or is my computer officially done for? I will provide further information if necessary. Please help me out, I am in the middle of a huge Minecraft project due to go live sometime this year.
I've seen this problem, actualy had it on my dad's old GPU.
Does it do it only in minecraft or does it do it also in other games? Because if that's the chace I got some bad news for you.
uh oh. Never good to hear that. It happens in all my games including Minecraft.
Then it means that your Graphic card is broken. Like said before I've had the problem before.
It's unfixable so it means you'll have to buy a new graphic card.
Enter in google "Broken graphic card in game" and look at pictures you'll see 50% has the exact same spikes like you do.
well that's dissappointing. But helpful! thanks for letting me know, guess I have no choice but to look into it.
It says my CPU and motherboard are around 70 degrees Celsius and my hard drives are at 43 degrees Celsius. If I were able to cool down my computer a bit, do you think that would help?
Either asking a technician to update your graphics card, or getting a new PC entirely. Do you have a Mac with an Apple OS, or another computer with a Windows OS? And which type if Windows?
I don't know what that is, but that may be the coolest thing I have seen in my life XD It sounds like an issue with the video card or cooling unit it looks like an issue that is going on b/c the VC is malfunctioning or it is overheating. Can't say for sure.
I have not tried that. Is that an easy fix? How can I do that?
Yes this is very easy, So you want to go to start and search Windows Update then you need to look through ALL available updates and see if there is one about the Video Card or a Video Card Driver, Upon finding that (may be more then one) select it (them) and then click to update, After that Run Minecraft and see how it goes from there.

Avoid putting your computer on surfaces without ventilation and even look into putting a small fan by your computer to help keep it cool.
