Yours is pretty much backwards. Yours says, "launch this with a minimal of 1/2 a gigabyte of RAM, with a max of 1 gigabyte of RAM"
At least for me and most people it should read, "Launch this with a max of 1 gigabyte of RAM, with a minimal of 1 gigabyte of RAM"

No his is the default java configuration. Basically it starts up with half a gig and will use up to 1 gig max. Nothing wrong with that.
However I do see that the OP is running 32bit Java on a 64 bit install of Windows7. OP I recommend that you uninstall all Java versions, then download the 64bit version of Java and install it. See if that solves your issue. Win764bit runs minecraft a lot better with 64bit Java.
Many people don't realize that Win7 64bit uses the 32 bit version of Internet Explorer by default and when you go to Oracle to download java it detects the use of a 32bit browser and downloads 32bit Java.
Here is the error :

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
