When I got Minecraft for the PC in February, it was able to play fine. But in late August, it started to give me the message that "Java(TM) Platform SE Binary has stopped working". I'm only able to play for 5 - 6 minutes before the game freezes. When I tried it again, after a few minutes, I blue screened. Do any of you know how to fix the problem? I tried using all the suggestions from the other forum posts about this. But none of them do any good. I run an HP Pavilion dv6 with 64-bit, but when I tried to use 64-bit for the game, it continued to say it needed 32-bit. I am sort of confused.
First things first, have you updated your java to java 7? if not, then try that first. The newer versions of minecraft are getting less and less happy with java 6, so updating is kind of important. Also, paste in your error reports and blue screen info so we can see what's going on.
If Task Manager gives you a window that's finding a solution, Task Manager calls Minecraft Java(TM) SE Binary. A picture of the blue screen would help, as there is many different blue screens that are based on computer errors.
You are correct about the username.
