I tried renaming the Tekkit.jar craftbukkit.jar, but it says its being used by another person or program. I go into task manager and there is no .bat in the list. I double clicked tekkit.jar twice... Is that a problem or something?
Please help, if you can!
The first error you are receiving is because you are tyring to allocate more memory than you have.
In the bat file there is something like this:
The 1024M and 2048M are the amount of RAM you are allocating to Craftbukkit.jar (Yours might be different)
Check your PC Specs to see how much RAM you can allocate correctly to a process (Generally is half of you total amount of RAM)
-Xms = Minimum Memory the procces can use
-Xmx = Maximum
And about the task manager, the process that uses the craftbukkit.jar file is named "javaw" and you should end that process for you to make the necessary debuging, anything else just ask!
In my bat, it says;
I don't really know how to check how much RAM I can allocate correctly to a process...
(I knew about javaw though :3)
And how much Ram you have?
3.24 Gigs.
Try changing the values to Xms512M Xmx1024M
Well, we're getting somewhere...
It says
Etc. Etc. Etc. There are 25 of those [SEVERE] messages in the console. Do I need to run the vanilla server program in the folder first?
Here is is:
I downloaded the stuff not more than a week ago...
But I'll try...
Really?
I hadn't thought of that...
Modpacks are fun!
Get it from here:-

Tekkit is stealing.
industrial-craft.net -IC2
mod-buildcraft.com -BC2/3
forestry.sengir.net - Forestry
eloraam.com - RP2
Not forestry. And its not stealing, they need permission.
Really? My brother, with 4 gigs on his laptop, ran the 3mx 2ms server just fine, hardly any lag, even on his Mac (a lot less economical with RAM).
If you look closely at your error, doomdude, it tells you that the mod Nether Ores is outdated. They're pretty useless anyways, so just delete and you'll be fine. This happened with my server too.
The problem is that my brother can no longer port forward, and so I am trying to run the server on my computer, which has 2 g of ram. I set the Xmx to 1G and the Xms to 512M and I still get the same error.
My brother is at college, and on a dorm internet. Would him getting a personal router in his room help him run the server if I cannot?
