Yes, for bukkit use Multiverse, WorldWarp or one of the other world plugins. I currently have 2 worlds on my server (adding a third soon) and I know of other servers with 4 or 5 worlds

To do this, what do I install on my server? Just the Multiverse app or must I install all of them? I'm definitely a noob at setting up a server for Minecraft. My only experience is making servers for small offices, so I'll probably need step-by-step moron instructions if you can bear my inexperience. Don't assume I know anything is the best policy. Thanks for the help thus far.
okay make your server and download the multiverse pluggin and put in your pluggin folder (you need bukkit or else you wont have this folder). Look for a youtube vedio on how to use it!
I am not too sure on the process (I will be doing it soon though )
One thing you do have to bear in mind is that you NEED to make sure your server has a fair bit of RAM, otherwise you will notice quite a bit of lag, as it has to load around twice as much data. (2 worlds)
technically multiverse can crash your minecraft i reccomand warp world or such i may of take to these fourms and not posted much but take it from me warp world is the best option in my opinion and yes do increse your ram often server consoles crash and yu can loose world data so keep that in mind
So this is how it works:
Please note i have a Mac and are listing the steps for Mac.
1. Go to bukkit.org and click one of the download links on the right. I reccomend downloading the reccomended build, but if it is not up to date with your current minecraft its up to you.
2. Drag the downloaded file to your desktop, create a new folder and name it "Bukkit Server" and rename the file Craftbukkit.jar
3. Next look up the code to put into text edit while creating a bukkit server and enter it under a plain text text edit file
4. Then, rename that document start.command and place it into your bukkit server folder.
5. Open terminal, once again look up the code to put into terminal while creating a bukkit server and enter it. Then drag and drop your start.command file you made into the terminal window, press enter, and then close terminal.
6. Now open up your start.command file, it should run through terminal, and wait for it to say "done" and type stop and hit enter. Now close terminal.
7. After running that a bunch of files will have showed up. You can look up the significance of each one but right now the important one is "server.properties".
Open it with text edit and you can change the settings of the server to your likings. Now go to network preferences under airport and look for your ip.
8. Now port forward (look up if not sure how) type your ip into the server ip row in your server.properties file
9. Now you're set! If you want your friends to connect they will have to use the public ip you got while port forwarding and they will connect to your server! Have fun!
