hey, i have been thinking about renting a minecraft server lately (cant host myself, my connection sucks)
so i was just wondering were's the best place to host one?
I have heard that germany was a good place.
When i say best place to host, i mean where's the best place to host so everyone on there can get a good connection?

+ Is 600 mb dedicated ram enough too run a server with max 15 people?

No it's not. There are a few hosts other than myself I can recommend.

Depends on where you live. If you're in the US, for example, having your server hosted in Germany would be a bad idea - your latency would be incredibly high. In general, the closer the server is to the client, the better the connection will be.

I acctually live in norway. but i'm not only thinking about myself.. what if i decide to host it in sweden ? (thats the closest to me) .. then if people from the usa join.. they would have terrible lag..

Appreciate it Clinton. OP: I'd check out Allgamer also, they offer high quality hosting along with rch as posted above. Remember what you pay for is what you get.

Really Orcworm? I had an unplayable amount of lag when I tried playing on a UK-based server once - I saw a zombie, manage to escape (at least on my screen), then died 10 seconds after the zombie was out of my sight. No problems connecting to a server in Ontario from Connecticut, though.

No. It's usually recommended to have 100 MB per player, so I'd suggest 2 GB to be safe.
