Hey so I have been running a Spigot server via TT Server Maker for a while now. I never had a need to OP myself till recently, so I'm just now looking into it. I tried it in game, both by typing /op <username> and op <username>. Neither work. I just get a message saying I don't have permission. I tried Oping myself via TT, and according to that I am a level 4 OP. Despite this, the game isn't treating me like one. I have also tried editing the .json file with the proper formatting, as well as deleting the old one and writing a new one. It still hasn't worked. Anyone have any ideas? This is driving me crazy because I can't find any other options online =/
you cant OP yourself from the game, or else anyone would be able to and ruin your server. you have to do it from TT. did you spell your name correctly? the server console is very picky about capitolization. are you entering it in the config or the server output? if you do it properly it should tell you in game 'you are now OP'
Yeah I've triple checked the spelling and whatnot, capitalization and all. I'm entering it as a server command in TT after I start the server. It tells me in TT "opped username" but it is still acting like I am not op in game. I even looked at my list of ops in TT and it has my name in there.
