Hello people of the Minecraft Forums,
For some reason, LAN worlds do not work for me and my friend. I'm using a Mac while my friend is using Windows.
This is what I do (IF I MESSED UP, PLEASE INFORM ME. THANKS!)
1. I open Minecraft.
2. I go into a single player world that I want use as a LAN world.
3. When I enter the world, I press the ESC key.
4. On the pause menu, I press Open to LAN.
5. I on the LAN menu, I set the game mode to survival and then set cheats off in "Settings for other players".
6. I press Start LAN World.
On my friend's PC
He:
1. Opens Minecraft
2. Goes to Multiplayer
3. Scrolls to the bottom of server list
4. Can't find my world.
We are both on the same Wi-Fi, but does platform mean difference?
The weird thing is that if either one of us hosts a server and use LAN, it won't work.
I could really use some help, thanks!

Hey, woah. This is a text box. Not sure what it's doing here... so, just ignore it... (lol)
Do I use direct connect or add server?
Router IP or Public IP?
