My server has been working fine, and then for some reason now I can only join through direct connect, localhost. If I try using the ip it will say cannot connect to server. No one else can join either. I port forwarded correctly I am sure.
I'm guessing that you did not set a static ip on your computer. Without a static ip, your router will occasionally assign your computer a new one. It's pretty easy to do. Here's a tutorial for windows 10: https://portforward.com/networking/static-ip-windows-10.htm
After setting a static ip, you will just need to update the ip in your port forwarding settings; then you should be good to go.
First off, are you able to join your own server through the ip address assigned by your router? You can find your own local ip address as shown below. It should be similar for other versions of Windows.
If you can connect through the ip you obtain in the previous step, then there most probably is an issue with your port forwarding.
