I may have already posted this question, so my apologies if I have, but I have a server problem. I set up the server, did all the port forwarding and that fancy stuff, but I can't ever get the server to work outside of my own wifi. Is there any solution to this? A video/picture tutorial would be very much appreciated if at all possible.
Thanks!

I don't think it's my firewall. I've unblocked Minecraft and my friend still can't connect. Also, this pops up when I open the run.bat file, so maybe this will help:

ERROR Unable to locate appender ServerGuiConsole for logger

If your ip is something like 192.168.etc... then that is a local ip. Go on google and search, "What's my ip" and it will tell your external ip, which should work as a server ip if you portforwarded everything correctly.
Thanks!

Does the server work with localhost, 127.0.0.1, and your internal IP.
Did you allow JAVA through your firewall?
Did YOU try connecting with your external IP?

I run either the jar server or the run.bat file. I didn't know there was an exe I could use.
The server works with my internal IP. I haven't tried either of the other steps you mentioned.
Yes. There are like, 10 different Javas on my firewall list and I allowed them all.
No, don't know how.

The bat file just runs the jar with some added arguments.
10 different javas? You should only have one version. Theres one thing you could do.
You test with your external IP by... typing in your external IP...
