Im a noob at computer stuff and i need help allocating more ram to my feed the beast server. When i first launch my server i says 'To start this server with more ram, launch it as java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar' the problem is that i have no idea how to do that. If someone could please help me that would be great.
P.S I have 1 gb allocated to the server right now and i am getting major block lag.
Have you downloaded it from the feed the beast loader from their website? as it comes with about 8 .bat files that run it with 1gig,2gig etc. try clicking on a higher one for more memory. and also some spec of your computer could help a lot too, as knowing what you have available to "play with" helps people tell you what you would need to do for less lag =),
Also check on the feed the beast forums for how to install optifine into the mod pack, it will really help lower any lag you are getting, hope some of this info helps you.
I knew how to do that in 2nd grade...
oh but anyway go to the location of your server and make a new text docoment
copy this into that document: java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar
then press space and drag the server.jar file into the text document
then press save as and save it as run.sh
after saving find run.sh and right click it then click open with...
then search for terminal
double click on the application called terminal and click always use for this type of file then press ok
after double click the run.sh file and there you go

Really sawzik98? pointless statement and I'm glad your such a clever and enlightened person but the smug BS only makes you appear more stupid. If your fix worked, well then your knowledgeable but please don't confuse knowledge for intelligence because you've just shown a complete lack of the latter.
