Hi. I use a Mac and have my own personal server that me and a few friends use together, we also have to use Logmein Hamachi as well to use the server. Anyway, I'd like some help with these:
Problem 1: This problem only started today, in fact. I hadn't played Minecraft for about 2 weeks, so I decided to go on and turn on the server but ... it came up with this:
[INFO] Starting minecraft server version 1.4.5
[WARNING] To start the server with more ram, launch it as "java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar"
[INFO] Loading properties
[INFO] Default game type: SURVIVAL
[INFO] Generating keypair
[INFO] Starting Minecraft server on 5.117.127.4:25565
[WARNING] **** FAILED TO BIND TO PORT!
[WARNING] The exception was: java.net.BindException: Can't assign requested address
[WARNING] Perhaps a server is already running on that port?
I've updated the server.jar as well, by the way.
Problem 2: When me and my friends are playing on Minecraft on my server, it all works fine, barely any lag or what not. However, when my friend logs on to the server, it crashes about 2 minutes after he logs on. It never use to do this, but the past few months it has. Basically it says that the server has ran out of memory.
Well that is hard to figure out you could delete his player data in the world file. And sometimes your server might be running already. If you are on a mac you go to activity monitor and look for java and you force quit it. then start your server. if your on a pc just search activity monitor or something to list all of the stuff that is running. So Hope you could fix it and if you cant add me on skype jens12122 and say it is you from the forums. Hope you fixed it

Hm, tried going onto the Activity monitor and seeing for java, it wasn't on. So problem 1 is still an issue. I also just deleted the players data in the world file, I think that may work, of course I can't test this until problem 1 is fixed ... hopefully someone else might come up with an idea.
Hate to re-bump this, but this is still an issue for my server and have yet to find an answer for this outside of this website. Wondering if any members here may have an idea on whats going on?

But this problem only happens when HE logs on.
So how can I fix these two problems? thank you.
