I know so many people made threads about this but nothing helped me.
I made sure to follow all the steps.
I set up the server correctly, I can access it locally.
I set up the static IP on my router for the pc I'm gonna host from and made sure to turn off my router's firewall. as for my local firewall, I'm on a mac and I don't think there is a firewall that would be blocking the port, or at least I haven't found any.
All that and still the server is inaccessible / the port is closed (made sure using a port checker such as portcheckers.com)
I hope it's not something that has to do with my ISP. I'm willing to chat on discord as well to find a solution.
I did as the online tutorials said. other than that it was intuitive, the router's settings were clear enough to do it. assigned a static IP to my pc and then forwarded that IP with the port 25565
Just in case someone ever has this issue. Turns out my country/ISP doesn't give out static IP addresses, rather I would have to pay for a static IP.
So after doing some digging, I tried out the method of using a VPN program called ZeroTier and it works fine

Did you portforward properly?
