(It's been years since I used this forum seriously, feel free to move this post if it's in the wrong place. Also this is copy and pasted from Reddit, /r/Minecraft wouldn't give me an answer.).
I've been running an active beta 1.7.3 server for the past month or so, with a custom domain that I own (ioi-xd.net). In the past, I managed to set up the DNS records for that domain so that no port was required: you could just connect to "mc.ioi-xd.net" like a modern server and it would take you to the server. This worked until the other day, when my domain provider encountered a glitch and suddenly wiped out all of my DNS records. I set up the records as I thought they were set up before, but apparently I didn't do it right, because now nobody can connect to this server except me.
I want to say again, I've gotten it to work in the past. Only, now that my DNS records are gone, and I didn't write them down, nor can I find what they're supposed to be, I don't know how to get it working again.
Here's my current records:
I've contacted the domain provider (It's Hostinger, not the best but I don't have the money to switch at the moment) and they don't seem to be able to recover the records (but they also deny erasing the records so they probably aren't the best). Anyone know how I can set something up like this again? I'd like to note, my friends have tried "mc.ioi-xd.net:25565" but it doesn't work either.
It's probably obvious but yes, my personal ip is the one that links to the server, and I HAVE port forwarded. Also this is the correct IP i'm using, I got it from "ipconfig" (i'm on windows) and used the one listed beside "IPv4 Address"
I'm somewhat alright with domain stuff. Do you have your name servers connected?
Actually first. Did the glitch occur in the domain place where you bought it or the place where you have the records? Or do you just use the domain and record servers. For ex: GoDaddy->Cloudflare, or Name.com->Name.com
Oh I just read the bottom part
I highly recommend using cloudflare which is a free service.
You'll see why only you can connect to it. I assume others on your network/LAN will be able to connect to it as well. Heck, if I set up a MC server on that IP, I'd be able to connect to the one I created as well.

Bump? Sorry, I have 3+ people waiting for the server to come back, does anyone know how to fix this?

Not sure what you mean by this. Here are my name servers if they help.

So you used Hostinger to purchase your domain as well?
Apologies for the late response but yes, my domain is owned by Hostinger.

sorry for my late response too xD. I recommend you use cloudflare.
By any chance do you have a Discord, so we can communicate faster?
If you do a nslookup on your sub-domain,
You'll see why only you can connect to it. I assume others on your network/LAN will be able to connect to it as well. Heck, if I set up a MC server on that IP, I'd be able to connect to the one I created as well.
TL;DR
Private IP address/RFC 1918 IP address.
Found the issue. This kind of thing happens so rarely that I forgot I need to use my pubilc IP, not my external one. Changed it and it works now.
