The server doesn't need UDP. My router also only lets you select one or the other and it works, as intended, just fine with TCP only. Nothing the server software does requires UDP.

UDP does not provide comfirmation of packet delivery, which server systems rely on to ensure all hosts are synced together properly. The Minecraft server software uses TCP only. So literally every tutorial saying you "need" to have both, is lying, probably due to ignorance.

i have a altibox router( modell: Model CPL5). when i do the portforward, i can only choose between TCP and UDP, not Booth.
it seems that a server needs booth to be active. when i add one TCP and one UDP whit same port( 25565) it cames error.
i really needs help her. any sort of help will be appreciate on a large scale.
